Edit for the “business owner”: I have much respect for you and your family business. But refusing to pay me the hours I rightfully logged, threatening to sue me, and refusing to listen to concerns is not the way you treat a minimum wage worker with zero benefits working 40 hours in 3-4 days before opening and expecting me to do that every day. On top of designing the signage for 5 TVs with zero menus or POS entries to go off of. For $16. Then you get upset when I suggest you pay me cash as opposed to making me 1099 AFTER I signed a W2/4 and I9 for you. I obviously liked the job, you just needed time to figure your stuff out.

A new addition to Lake Zurich, Chic Cafe was very impressive. However, they've taken to removing any negative reviews and therefore all reviews seem positive, given that they've opened two weeks now and have 15 reviews, down from 30+, including very much legit reviews, I'd hope that they'd let honesty and truth be motivators for improvement. The food here is amazing and well worth the wait! Very authentic Cafe with European crepes, coffee, paninis, and gelato. Owners are an adorable couple who truly care about their patrons and the service.

We had the Ham and Cheese Crepe as well as the Nutella Crepe. My two year old loved the Nutella Crepe! Nutella everywhere! However, once she had the Italian Ham, everything changed. Needless to say we all enjoyed everything and can’t wait to come back for more.

We had the best experience at Chic Café! I brought my two kids and grandmother, and not only were the crepes absolutely AMAZING, but the staff went above and beyond to make the experience special for us. They even made a fresh fruit crepe just for the kids (keeping it low sugar, which I really appreciated!) and were so sweet and accommodating.
