LA MICHOACANA . Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

The ice cream here was delicious. Unique flavors and very good prices. The owner has such great service. Healthy scoops in each order. He even brought over a free serving of a flavor combo which is not common in typical American ice cream parlors for us to try. I am not a fan of the joints that charge $5 for a small scoop of some eccentric flavor and won't even smile at you. This place is why. Great flavors, great service, great prices. Highly recommended.

Update: we have been numerous times since the review and its still a great place to go. There's an ice cream place around the corner that has been in the area much longer, but in my opinion, it is no competition. The quality is much less and the prices are much higher. Don't take my word, try La Michoacana...

We love their ice cream! Tonight after eating our ice cream our car wouldn’t start. We weren’t sure if it was the starter or the battery. We placed a call for a tow truck of which was going to take 45 minutes to arrive. An employee from the ice cream shop came out and offered to jump our car. It started and we canceled the tow truck. We offered him money for going out of his way and he politely refused. The world can use more people like this! We love your ice cream and love your employees. Thank you...

Just moved to the area and stumbled upon this hidden gem—conveniently located right across the street from my place! They offer an amazing variety of both frozen and non-frozen treats, and everything I’ve tried so far has been absolutely delicious. The owner is incredibly welcoming and handcrafts all the ice cream bars fresh in-store, which makes it even more special. If you haven’t checked this place out yet, you’re missing out.
