I stopped by and found a dress in stock for my upcoming elopement that I liked, I came back and put a deposit down on the dress (full $1,500 purchase price). The dress needed to be repaired and alterations needed to be made before I could take the dress home. I called 6 days later asking for a refund because I found a dress I liked better, the owner said “no refunds and no cancellations”. The owner admitted that no alterations or repairs had been made on the dress, but she would not give me my money back. The receipt I received stated that 50% deposit was due at the time of purchase, and 50% due when dress was picked up. I did not pick the dress up yet and she refused to give me even 50% back of what I paid and keep the dress. The owner refused to work with me at all and said all she could do for me was “consign” the dress through her, which would require me to trust her again.. I learned my lesson already. The receipt I received stated that all dresses not picked up would be considered abandoned and put back up for resale. So I picked up the dress and now have a wedding dress that I wasted $1,500 on.
