We were unhappy with our last cake. It was for our daughter's 3rd birthday and it was not good. The vanilla cake was so overdone and dry. We could tell as soon as we cut the cake because it was an ugly burnt brown color. So so dry at the edges. And no sprinkles inside or out. I saw that they were missing from the decorations of the cake when I picked it up and I just thought, no big deal we will put some on when we get home. Then before we cut the cake we reminded Caroline that there would be colorful sprinkles inside and she was confused and sad when not only were there no sprinkles but she thought it looked "yucky" and politely declined her own birthday cake. No one asked for seconds. Which was opposite of the cake we ordered prior to this one for our son's first birthday. We went a size up this time bc everyone wanted seconds with Colton's cake but with Caroline's, almost the whole cake was left and we just threw it away. The inside seemed like way more icing than cake. And there was barely any fruit inside, we had to search for it whereas with Colton's it was all throughout the cake and so delicious. If Caroline's cake had been the first that we had ordered, we would not have come back for a second one. I sent this exact message to Lala Custom Cakes and they never responded which makes the whole thing worse because it seems they do not care.
