Preordered Onyx Storm from this lovely shop to support a local bookstore during this release! Not only do they offer discounts for preorders, they opened early for the release making it quick and easy to pick up! This was my first time visiting and I left with more than I came for. What an absolutely incredible bookstore! Lots of variety to choose from, the setting is comfortable and quiet and perfect for book lovers, the staff is warm and welcoming. As a lover of old homes as well, the exterior character didn’t disappoint. Cannot wait to visit again. This shop shares a wonderful message to their community leaving you feeling valued as a human.

One of the most inviting indie bookstores I have ever had the pleasure of entering. The three women who co-own the shop are intelligent, inclusive, fun, kind, real, and incredibly good at what they do. In a book rut? Go see them. Give a brief background on your reading preferences, and I promise you will leave with a book to love (or maybe not, but I bet it breaks the rut!). Be sure to follow them on Instagram to keep up with the community events, book clubs, author signings and more they throw on a regular basis. If you love books, the human experience, and believe in inclusivity for everyone, this is your diamond in the rough. 😘

PB opened the same year me and my little family moved into the neighborhood. How lucky are you, you might ask? THE LUCKIEST. There is something for everyone in my family at PB- kids section, and Storytimes for my kiddo, book club for my partner, book preordering, beautifully dangerously intoxicating stationary room, and even more beautiful humans who run this neighborhood treasure of a bookstore. These amazing women are genuine, warm, brilliant and have so many recommendations for you you’ll need to keep running queue. Thank you, Pocket Books for bringing beauty, inclusivity, whimsy, fun, wisdom and community. We love you!

I was supercharged and couldn’t wait to visit this bookstore on my trip to PA from AZ! This stop was added to my travel itinerary well in advance of my arrival. Books are my life and I only buy books from independent booksellers. Once the day of my visit arrived I was vibrating with anticipation of visiting and ready to spend $. However, my enthusiasm was met with a very grumpy Cassie. My questions as well as compliments were met with annoyance. The 10 book series that I intended to order went un-ordered because of this employee. Being an independent begs for next level customer care.

The bookshop itself is well stocked and just as charming as I had hoped. There is a great selection of books for all ages and in all genres. There are gifts and fun little nooks with a 2nd floor gift shop as well as some 2nd-hand options for reading. I encourage patronage of this local gem! The missing star was stolen by Cassie....

An absolute gem of a shop.

My favorite things about this store:

They made excellent use of the available space, stocking a good mix of classics, lesser-known works by popular authors, and obscure but interesting works, for each genre.

Many books were displayed so the cover is visible. This made it much easier to spot interesting looking books that I hadn't heard of.

There were small displays devoted to stickers. I'm not normally particularly interested in stockers, but they had quite a few that I felt were hilarious or which demonstrated a lot of (for lack of a better word) personality. I wound up buying a few along with the stack of books I purchased.

It's quite a comfortable environment. The store is in a converted house, and between the layout (individual rooms each housing a small variety of topics or genres) and the decor it just felt very cozy...

I can not believe how many times I go by through this area and never knew it was there until today. I always wanted to find a local bookstore to support versus a big chain that often times run out of the books I want. I came here with my mom and we both couldn’t have been more pleased. I wish I had more money cause I wanted to buy about half the books in the store and had trouble choosing the ones I wanted now. The staff are so friendly and welcomed me for my first time being here. I couldn’t believe how many popular well known books they had. I also found some great books that I never heard of that were presented very well throughout the store. I also love the cute little recommendation notes on the shelves around the store that also helped me with my choosing. I will definitely be back and am so happy I found this...
