I just experienced the worst customer service ever at the Yum Chen in Landover, Md and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Ok so I walk in and order my food. I noticed that there was hand sanitizer in front of the window. I opened my container on my key chain to put some sanitizer in there because my bottle was running low. It’s like a miniature little container. All of a sudden the cashier starts yelling at me saying that if I the sanitizer was for the customers.. I check myself because I thought at the point of me ordering food that I had just become a customer. I check my tone because I knew at the moment I would be tempted to say something slick back. Then the lady continues to say that I probably couldn’t afford a dollar hand sanitizer that If I could I would’ve just bought a large container at her business. Her tone was very nasty and rude and I refused to go back n forth with her so I simply asked for a refund and chose to let her know that I refuse to be chastised over hand sanitizer when I could walk next door to the Family Dollar store and grab a bottle. Please be aware of this place. It was my very first time experiencing something like this and prejudice and culturalismo/colorism is real. Customer service is everything and it was definitely a better way to handle any situation. She literally bit my head off for three pumps of hand sanitizer. I am utterly disgusted and will never step foot in that place again. I took my business right around the corner to American Best Wings..1...
Read moreI love this place. No it doesn’t have the best ambiance being in a strip mall and the interior probably needs work. But they aren’t selling a dining experience, they are essentially takeout only which means they are selling the food.
The food is solid. I am a very picky eater, and I’ve returned to this place many times. It’s authentic and flavorful. They also give you large portions and they are not expensive. I used to drive to Columbia just for Singapore noodles because I didn’t know where else to get them done well.
So far I’ve had the singapore noodle, general tso, combo rice, and steak and cheese sandwich. i really enjoyed that steak and cheese! but i don’t like crinkle fries which is what they serve.
I’m so glad ive found local takeout that is GOOD! the woman who works at the front is very friendly and professional. I will...
Read moreThis is my one of my favorite carryout restaurants. I am never disappointed in the taste of the food. Also, they know my preferences based on past orders and even when I forget, they ask me to be sure that's what I meant. I correct my request but I am always SO grateful because I have serious reactions to shellfish so I have to be careful about certain dishes (Singapore noodles vs mei fun noodles, egg rolls vs spring rolls, etc.. no shellfish contact at all. Furthermore, I have tasted the chinese food and wings. In the picture, there's chicken egg fu young (I like that the gravy is separate and not mixed already) and veggie fried rice. I definitely recommend this place 😃 Ps, no cooking needed, this...
