I am very biased since I work there. I cant imagine a better environment to work in with coworkers almost as amazing as myself. Even more amazing is our customers, they are very devoted and we have many regulars. The product selection is great as far as art supplies and you would have to go to flint to get a selection michaels offers. There is always something extra we sell from home decour to frames and more. Backware to party supplies. Floral and scrapbooking. Our employees are much more knowledgeable than me and I never have worked in such a great place. It really is the selection and being able to assist some of the greatest customers I have hever had. That said I wasnt always an employee there. I was a customer at first, a satisfied customer. I have a family full of artists whom I envy because I dont have the talent but its my go to for christmas presents, birthdays, and the occasional suprise for the people in my life that i love. The store really has everything but what made me apply was the warm atmosphere that employees made and now i get to be part of that experience for customers. I do not claim to be the most helpful, i doubt anyone there would but we really really try to go out of our way to be as much use to the customer as we can be.
If my review is too biased then...
Read moreI love Michael's for the kind of store that it is. Their stores are beautiful. But, if I had a quarter for every time I tried to use one of their coupons at our location and they told me that I could not use it on the item I was buying, I would be a rich lady. It's in the fine print, they tell me. I understand exemptions, not combining offers, not using a coupon on sale merchandise, etc. But EVERY TIME. Today I bought some adhesive. Regular price, not on sale. And I was told that it was a " basic value" item so I could not use my 40% off one regular priced item coupon. Shouldn't all of your regular prices be a basic value? And if " basic value" is not a sale price, or a special, or a door Buster's, but indeed your regular priced basic value, should I not be able to use my coupon? Also not valid on books...found that out last week. Did the $4.00 adhesive that I was buying sell so well that you had to come up with a special name for it to exempt it from your coupons? Regular price is regular price. Sale price is sale price. Quit playing games. Either you have coupons or you don't. I feel like I need a contract lawyer to go through the...
Read moreGreat store, lots of good products. Love that they offer the ability to purchase online and pickup in store. Staff is friendly. They offer great coupons that make most of us able to shop here. My only complaint is the store layout and prices are extremely high compared to other store's regular retail prices. A majority of the time it's cheaper to purchase directly from the brand, or off Amazon. My other complaint is the store layout. It seems that the items aren't always where you think they would be. It would be helpful if all the planner items, paint brushes, pens etc. were in an aisle together. Most of the time it seems they are scattered throughout the store, and its easy to miss or not be able to find what you're looking for because of this. Sometimes a quick Micheal's run can turn into an hour expedition just to find the product you came in for because of the odd placement of products. Overall it's a great store with lots to offer, just high prices but 99.9% of the time they have a coupon to help with the...
