Taco Palenque Del Mar & IH35 — Restaurant in Laredo

Horrible service. We did a pick up order and usually we have no problems ordering through the app and going through the drive thru to pick it up but this Thursday (1/16) we placed an order and went to the drive thru around 11:30 pm and were appalled and shocked at how we were treated by a male employee. We asked for our order and if we can have extra sauces and the guy who was there just stayed quiet for a long time and said a dismissive okay. Well when he finally gave us our order we didn’t get extra sauces and he rudely told us that if we wanted to get extra items to go inside the store and don’t bother with the drive thru. We’ve never been faced with such rudeness and passive aggressive attitude before from employees here. We’ve gone to this store and other taco palenques in town and never had a problem with ordering and picking up in the drive thru. And never once had the employees outright refused our request for extra sauces and told us that if we wanted that to go inside and get them ourselves.

Honestly we always go there to pick up orders once a week at night but looks like we’ll have to go to another taco palenque if employees like him are going to be there and treat their customers with such...

Had the worst experience in all the years I’ve ever visited a Taco P. I waited over 25 minutes in the drive thru and watched as 7 other customers left when I finally got out of my car to ask one of the employees to see why my order was taking long. She expressed that it was over 20 minutes. They finally brought my food out and handed it to me without a word so I said I would like to speak to the manager. The manager came out and said it was the tortilla lady that didn’t show up and then it was the flautas that take a lengthy process and finally it was actually the quesadillas. I told her that I’ve orders these items before and that she needed to decide which excuse or lie to choose from because by them I felt offended. Will not be returning as this left a sour note for me and to top it off the food was cold which leaves me to believe they completely forgot about my order. Feeling unamused and...

Not a good experience. I wanted to buy breakfast before work, I saw there was no line and I ordered 2 tacos (potato with egg) at 5:40am. I was the only one in line at the time. Later on, more cars arrived and they started giving the orders to them. They took about 20 minutes to give me my order because they were cooking a whole batch of potatos with egg, which I understand they probably can't only make for 2 tacos. However, if you know u are going to get traffic starting at 530 am, start prepping food a little earlier. Also, the lady was giving me the wrong order, and I had to wait again to get my correct order. I expressed my concern in a calm manner that I was waiting for 15 minutes already, she ignored me and she did not apologize. I feel like customer service is no longer a priority.
