From when I moved in until now it seems like Iām always calling for something to be fixed. Mainly my dishwasher. The maintenance men are nice and I like them, my problem is the apartments just seem to want to take the cheap way out. My dishwasher has leaked and been āfixedā multiple times, yet would still leak. They replaced it with a ānewā one which was cracked and ended up spraying water out of the side when I used it. They finally replaced it again. So far so good. My fridge stopped getting cold and it took 4 or 5 days before anyone came to look at it so most of my food went bad having no where else to put it. Also, upon moving in I was under the impression there was security here at night and that the gates would be closed at night. However, not once have I ever seen security here, and (yes they told me the gate was broke and that they were going to be getting it fixed soon), the gates still donāt work. After speaking with someone else who just moved out of here the gates have been broke for at least a year. Doesnāt seem like they plan to get it fixed. I have seen homeless people coming through here many times digging in the trash, as well as I found a DIRTY USED NEEDLE at the bottom of my stairs. I put it in a jar and took it to the office where the girl didnāt seem too concerned. The water bills are ridiculous and I donāt seem to understand how they get their number. My bill this month was $120 for just my husband, myself and our 3 year old. I have never paid so much for water, even living in a house twice the size of here with a pool. There are residents with less people in their apartment that somehow pay more than we do for water? Itās pretty quite during the day, but the neighbors are loud at night and our apartment smells like pot half the time because both people next to us smoke in their apartment. The window in my living room I cant open and they rigged to keep it closed, Iām assuming so they donāt have to pay to replace it since the whole frame would have to be replaced. So when itās actually nice out, I canāt open the main window to let the place air out. Must have been that way for a while because the last people who lived here screwed it shut into the wall. The rent here is way too much for what you get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve lived here since 2018 and itās been a good experience so far. Iāve had small spats with the office from time to time but other wise, no trouble. I am only giving 3 stars because from when I moved here until now- Iāve noticed an influx of my neighbors leaving suddenly (Iāve seen 5+ plus people move before end of the month, days apart from each other) and thatās kind of alarming to see especially when most of their leases were not up until after mine(for context, my lease is up in November) I honestly think it might be because the rent is sky high in terms of what weāre getting in amenities and what we are paying. My rate is $1,160 a month for 2 bed/bath but after the water bill is added Iām literally paying what everyone else pays around the city or more. Iām on fixed income so I do pay late sometimes, which makes my rent more also but itās still expensive on its own and my unit is not renovated or ānewā by todayās standards.
My complaint is more so about the price and how there really isnāt much wiggle room with those like myself, sometimes I have partial payment but Iām not allowed to give that at the time so I have to wait an additional week or two until Iām paid again to pay my full rent on top of the late fee and the service fee so Iām looking an additional $100 on top of the other fees that come with my rent. Itās so stressful each month. I do wish they were more flexible in that way for those on a fixed income and allow some breathing room to catch up. I would stay another year if I could afford it but I will be leaving at the end of my lease to live with family because itās just way too pricey. Other wise, the staff is nice. I did have a problem with Trixie at one point as I felt she spoke to me in a condescending manner but I havenāt had any issues with her since. I did like the property and enjoyed the surrounding area and if rent wasnāt so pricey and I knew that I would get a fair price for a renovated unit, Iād renew in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBoy was I a sucker! Gave them a great review. After moving in here in 2012 and all but 1 month paid rent on time, the one time was 1 day late which cost me additional $75. Now I received a letter stating if I want to renew my lease they are keeping the "$35 a month" water fee", which was included in my current rent amount, charging me an additional $25 on top of that, and now are going to also charge us separately for water, sewer, trash, maintaince, and what ever they can add to it! However they will NOT tell us an amount they will charge for all these additional charges until 30 days AFTER you sign a lease! The $60 a month rent increase will probably start a mass migration right out of here.
I spoke with a lady from the office and made her aware of what I thought was a mistake and was told new owners corporate office decided to raise everyones rent by $60 a month AND charge us all the same utilities I would pay to rent a house.
I asked the office lady if she would verify with corporate that they knew $35 was going for water and the paper they gave me would increase my rent by $60 a month. She stated the letter came from corporate so they already know that.
I'm not the only one that received this renewal letter! And others I've spoken with stated they will be looking elsewhere to rent!
By the way our front gate is wide open all night long now so our little security peace of mind is gone now too.
Think they want to empty the property so they can tear it down and build something else here?
Very disappointed with new management! This was my home for years. Not sure I can afford to stay now that SSDI decreased my income and raised my prescription insurance.
Wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't raised the rent...
