This place is typically crowded but it was not when I was there at around 6 pm on a weekday. Because it wasn't busy, I think it caused the service to lack a little. I sat at the bar. I was the only one there. The bartender would go help others which is nice for them but often times during my meal, there was no one nearby to ask for anything. She was friendly when she was there though. I can't really expect the bartender to just wait nearby for any requests but if it were more busy, she would have probably stayed.
I ordered 1/2 lb green mussels and calamari appetizer. I did not realize that a pound is only a few dollars more. I mean, it was right in front of me but I was only looking at the portion size, not the price, until after I finished the 1/2 pound. They were fresh and tasty so I wanted more after I finished. I do wish the sauce was a little thicker. But it was good. Nothing flashy just a traditional seafood sauce.
The calamari was just rings. It didn't really have any seafood taste and it didn't really have any great spices but it did come with a flavorful sauce, which was thick and creamy. I would pass on ordering it again though.
I just missed happy hour so if I do come back, I'll have to check the hours again. I think she said 7 pm it starts.

I Ordered 2 Famous Low Country boils 1 1/2LB F1 Fried Shrimp Basket 1/2 POUND SHRIMP BOIL Okay the reason for the low rating. 1. None of the food was good. 2.My family was dissatisfied, So the Crab Legs either wasn't fresh or were old. The Shrimp on the Shrimp Basket wasn't fresh. My Bill $119 so I called the restaurant Advised them of the problem. The Person answered the phone around 7:50 pm. on 1-22-24 I stated that I wanted a refund and I could bring the food back because it wasn't to my family satisfaction. I was advised that I couldn't get a refund but I can get a new order well how can I can't get a refund when it's not noted on your receipt. I advised absolutely not I don't want the food. Read moreWe dined here for a pre-Father’s Day dinner, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear things were off. I made our reservation last week, when the health grade posted was an A. By the time we showed up, it had dropped to a B. That was the first red flag.
The lobby was packed and there was no hostess in sight for nearly 10 minutes. Meanwhile, something behind the counter was constantly beeping, and a phone or iPad was ringing nonstop. It felt disorganized and chaotic.
Once we were seated, it was one thing after another. The napkin holder on our table was dirty. We had to ask for condiments that should’ve already been there. Then my husband and daughter’s seafood boils arrived, with crab legs, but no cracking tools were provided. How does that even happen at a seafood restaurant?
My son ordered a calamari basket, and the calamari was so overcooked he may as well have been chewing on a tire.
The one redeeming part of the evening was our waitress, Gabriela. She was clearly stretched thin with way too many tables, but she stayed polite and did the best she could given the chaos around her.
Sadly, for what we paid, over $125 for five people (3 adults and 2 children) the quality of the food and the chaotic service simply didn’t match the price. Definitely not worth it.
