This is the worst Costco location I have been to. I have been going here for many years now because I buy things for my business here and out of all the locations, this is the one that is making me cancel my membership. I go to Costco every 2 days and buy goods for my business from their soda and fresh fruits and frozen fruits and vegetables etc.. I literally spend a minimum of one thousand dollars a week here. Today was the second time while going to Costco here where I was unable to personally go get goods for my store and had to send someone in. Before doing so I am aware that memberships are for people under those memberships. With that in mind I called Costco to ask what we can do so my employee can grab some product for the store since I was unable to go. I spoke to a Ricardo the first time who said it was fine as long as my business membership and by business credit card are all under matching names. He said if anyone gives issues to let them know RICARDO said it was fine. Everything was fine but now fast forward to today. Same instance happens and now my friend who works there calls me and literally lets me listen in to what the manager Eric is saying to my employee. First off he was rude, ignorant, and did not even know his own store's policies. Second he was very immature and childish and easily gives off the impression that he has a lot of personal insecurities and lacks managerial experience. I call the store to ask what is happening and ask for Ricardo. He tells me he never said anything like what I mentioned earlier and would never approve it. He is a liar because as he said that I was literally looking at my text I sent to the employee last time saying that I spoke to a Ricardo and to ask for the manger Ricardo if there are any issues. He lied saying he would never approve it but I have receipts with DATES and TIMES showing when I did call and speak with you guys about the matter and when I told the employee to ask for Ricardo. Today though he just straight up lied saying he would never approve it which shows that the management team here needs to be reviewed. I already contacted Costco directly and filed a complain with their ethics department to review their management and staff because if they want to lie to customers and waste our gas and time and money, you best believe they are practicing some shady things here. I did get an answer directly from Costco on what the management team is allowed to do and what they should have done. With everything said here let me give you my personal review not only of today, but of this location in general. A lot of this makes more sense to me understanding how bad their management team is here. I spend 50k a year here and I will be taking that business elsewhere that is NOT Costco after I cancel my membership.
This place is generally the most trashiest Costco in all of Southern Nevada and I visit all 5 in the Las Vegas area every month with this location being my most frequent. I strayed away from here because it is generally a low class and trashy location which I understand now is a reflection of their management team. The parking is horrible on many days because their customer base is mostly inconsiderate people that do not know how to drive and take up multiple lanes while trying to park and navigate through the parking lot and gas area. After you find parking upon reaching the entrance, there is a high likelyhood that you will see a bunch of teenage kids sitting outside on the front around the square pillars constantly begging for food and money. There are so many beggars in the front here and they do nothing about it. It is worst than a walmart. This Costco is like the Walmart of Wholesalers. It is trashy and lowclass because they keep all the young teens and homeless people out front begging for money and cash. Staff here just gossips and talks smack about customers and their coworkers. This place is a hostile work and shopping environment and I would not recommend it to anyone. Will update after response from...
Read moreIf you read my original review below, you will note that I was unhappy and had no place other than Costco to find a resolution. I'm glad that Costco stepped up and resolved my issue with the contracted vendors under their roof. I am leaving the original review up to warn everyone about dealing with Smart Circle and DSI Systems employees hawking their products and services when you walk in the door at any Costco. Thank you, Costco, for rectifying the situation, and shame on you, Smart Circle and DSI, for the way you conduct business.
ORIGINAL REVIEW 2 STARS I joined Price Club in the eighties before the two companies merged as PriceCostco in 1993. So, it pains me to write this review. What a shame, as Costco has been one of my favorite stores for decades. However, until a resolution is reached, Costco may lose my "favorite" store status. Please find my letter addressed to the Vice President of West Coast Operations.
A store manager instructed me who and where to send this letter. Dear Ms. Whittaker, As a Costco customer with a relationship that dates back to the Price Club days, I am disappointed to find myself writing this letter. My issue is with the conduct of Smart Circle International and DSI Systems, which contradicts the transparency and customer-centric values I've come to associate with Costco. Their lack of honesty has resulted in considerable stress, frustration, and time wasted.
Ms. Whittaker, on February 28, 2024, at your Summerlin, Las Vegas store, I purchased AT&T services and devices. The salesman told me he worked for Costco: 1. The [Smart Circle] representative should have informed me, when asked, that he was not an employee of Costco. 2. The [Smart Circle] employee entered incorrect data in his documentation, doubling the quoted price. 3. When I called the designated telephone number as instructed in the contract, DSI Systems told me to speak directly with AT&T, thereby exacerbating the issue 10-fold. 4. The entire matter fell apart because AT&T either didn't know or likely didn't care about what the representative promised. 4. Not willing to deal with this matter, I returned the devices to AT&T and canceled services within their 14-day "remorse" period. AT&T did not honor its published remorse period and threatened collections ranging from $3,400.00 to $368.57.
I have since discovered Smart Circle contracts with Costco to sell AT&T services in Costco stores. DSI Systems deals with contract servicing for AT&T. Why did it take over four months (including 70 calls and 60 hours) to discover how this operation works under Costco's roof?
The entire sales fell apart almost from the get-go and took close to five months to resolve, at a significant cost to my time. There were then interactions between Denise Heibert, Anthony Sanchez from Smart Circle International, and Mike Davies at DSI Systems. AT&T has continued collection threats through repeated texts, emails, and calls. I have been dealing with this matter since March 3, 2024.
Ms. Whittaker, when people such as Dynise Heibert, Martin Sanchez, and Mike Davies repeatedly lie to your face, I stop being angry and make it my business to spread the word of these "hawkers" in Costco. These companies have a different transparency and honesty than the entity allowing them to use their space. My only path to rectifying this matter is to warn Costco members about Smart Circle and DSI Systems, which require stern reeducation.
Regards, Neil E.
My ongoing investigation may change because none of the companies involved offer truthful and believable information. I will update this review as required.

Read moreOf all Costco locations in Las Vegas area, this location provides the worst customer service. I have been a Costco executive member for over 10 years. We spend on average $10K/year as a household with Costco, including a recent $ 4500 vacation package through their travel department. I encountered an incident today at the Pavilion location that leaves a bad taste in the mouth and calls into question whether I should continue to be a loyal member with Costco.
Costco has built a solid reputation for their customer service, including returning policy, and a wide variety of products.
I recently ordered a few skincare/beauty products available only through Costco online but most of them did not work out given my sensitive skin. Keep in mind my collection of skincare/beauty products range from Centella to Dior, Chanel and La Mer. We ladies are always in search of solid beauty products at a reasonable price. However, when I went to return these products today due to incompatibility with my skin, an employee by the name of Michael tried to shame me publicly by announcing that I was returning most of the items on the receipt, even though those items were clearly eligible for return per company policy.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident that has occurred to me with regard to difficulties encountered upon return of products.
I am also a big-time foodie and enjoys trying out new food items at Costco. When I returned some of the food products that did not pass the taste test, I was met with nasty attitude and snide comments about the products partially consumed upon their return. I've seen other members returning half a loaf of bread or half-eaten rotisserie chicken without any complaint from the same crew in the return department. And his accusation was untrue. I did keep more than half of the items from the receipt if he looked carefully enough, but I didn't feel like I needed to explain to him at that point.
It felt as though I was being singled out repeatedly as a minority trying to obtain reasonable service. Simple returns should not turn into a judgement on someone's shopping items/habits or taste in products. Some of these members in the return department at this specific location clearly need some retraining in customer service in order to align themselves with the company's reputation on...
