1,000 demerits.

The food is gross. The restaurant is dirty. The sauce containers sit out in the open where everyone can touch them. The silverware is carelessly washed. I got food poisoning there on 12/13/18. I will never go back to eat. This restaurant is nasty nasty nasty.

I crapped my guts out and barfed my stomach inside out. I am still smelling the smell of dread wonton soup because, when I threw it all up, it went through my nose. Awful awful awful!

Pei Wei, please tell me why you do not adequately clean your forks knives spoons etc? Why cant you get these things clean? Why do you put the mustard and chili sauce in those big containers that everyone and their brother touches? Do you EVER wash them or do you just refill them? Also the coke machine in really gross. There are too many people touching it.

If you are not going to clean, then use disposable flatware, bowls, etc. Put the sauces in packets. Please use disposable everything.

I ate wonton soup and spring rolls when I was there. Since then, I have imagined how you poisoned these dishes before serving them to me. Your restaurant made me so sick.

At the end of the night, if there is any soup left in the big container that you serve soup from, pour the soup completely out. Trash all the leftovers. Don’t just add more soup to the big pot so that you never have to clean it. Take the container and scrub it down with soap and hot water. Once it is completely clean, then put it in the dishwasher on the sterile cycle. If after doing this you see any food residue, repeat the hand washing and dishwasher cleaning or throw away the dirty container and use a brand new one that has never been contaminated with food before.

DO NOT put a lid or plastic wrap over the leftover soup and put it in the refrigerator to use the following day. DO NOT add more soup to a pot that is getting low. For all we know, your wonton soup container has not been scrubbed for months.

By the way, your wonton soup is not very good to eat. Throwing it up was even worse. Your wonton soup literally made me throw up about nine times last night. It was awful.

You really need to clean your bowls and flatware better! You need to hire someone whose job it is to clean these things. He needs to meticulously scrub every piece individually with soap and water. Don’t let anything soak in a cesspool of dirty dishes. Soaking is gross like gag! He needs to scrub with a stiff brush that gets replaced everyday with a new brush. Then, put everything in the dishwasher on sterile cycle. Don’t overload the dishwasher. Forks spoons and knives should be put into the dishwasher with the handles down. They get cleaner this way. It is impossible to overclean!!!!

I don’t know what happened to the spring rolls. If food falls on the floor, you need to throw it out and start over. Don’t put the spring rolls on a countertop where you cut raw meat. Make sure you cook everything all the way. I am not sure what happened there, but I think it comes down to cleanliness issues. Your restaurant is just dirty.

Whoever is washing your dishes, that kid needs to be fired and a professional hired who can do it with surgical precision. Better yet, just use disposable everything, including woks.

Your restaurant is dirty, grimey and scummy. It gave me massive diarrhea and massive vomiting. My whole body hurts. I am in pain. I am suffering greatly because people who work at Pei Wei and too lazy to clean things right or the owner is too cheap to throw out bad food. I missed work on Friday because of you. I am still sick.

Next time I am in your area, (assuming I can walk into Pei Wei without getting sick again), I will pull out the silverware and show the manager what the problem is. I will show the manager how gross the sauce containers look. Do you ever wash them? I will point out the coke machine and how gross it is.

Your kitchen should be clean enough to perform surgery in there. Obviously it’s not and you...

Since my usual Chinese food spot up and left after thanksgiving, been on the hunt for something comparable.

Usually not a fan of chain restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised with Pei Wei. You would be surprised how many places only carry spring rolls so the boyfriend was happy when he had the option to choose chicken or pork.

Anyway, placed an online order for pickup, and did 30 minutes but i arrived early and they were still making my order which was great because no one wants their food just sitting there getting soggy from the steam.

First up, fried rice and chicken chow mein which my boyfriend enjoyed but he said it tasted better the next day.

I ordered the Firecracker tofu which i thought was great because with tofu many places do not give a variety of options around that base. I enjoy it because tofu basically just absorbs the flavours of the dish. This was delicious on day one, but reheating the next, eh not so much. Wouldn't recommend microwaving this one, haha.

I also got the kids' order of the orange chicken as a test to see if i would like it, sure did and honestly was the perfect amount of food for me. Pei Wei also gives a sugar-free apple juice in the kid's meals for a healthy choice which is excellent, but yes, there was definitely no sugar in it. (lol, yuck)

Everything I ordered was to go, the containers and portions sizes were perfect.

Prices are reasonable, more than Panda Express, but the quality and portions sizes are better/bigger.

Quality is hit and miss. When it misses its overcooked, and/or too few ingredients. Better lately but staff seem overworked and stressed to the point of being impatient and rude. UPDATE: Tried again. I give up. This place is PEI WEI in name only. They cannot make a meal without screwing it up. I ordered Dan Dan noodles with no onions or scallions and added carrots and red pepper. Got it home and there were onions in it and NO cucumbers which in other Pei Wei locations is one of the highlights of the dish. When I called them, for the second time this evening one of the employees just answer hello. No this is Pei Wei how can I help you. When I spoke to a so-called manager she was belligerent and defensive, refused to leave a message for the manager to call me and just offered a refund. When a customer has been loyal and repeatedly has bad experiences but tries again in good faith but ends up with something inedible and having to make other arrangements, customer service would dictate that the restaurant would try to make up for extreme inconvenience and bad customer service. Nope. Just stay away. The odds are your food will be bad and the staff will be untrained and outwardly...

I went to Pei Wei for dinner after we had received a coupon in the mail. The coupon was for 2 entrees for $16 dine in only. Seems like a great deal. We ordered Drunken Noodles with chicken and Firecracker chicken. The Drunken Noodles were not very good. The noodles were way overcooked and mushy. They put too much sauce on them. The pieces of chicken were tasty, however. My girl got the Firecracker Chicken and we both agree it was terrible. The chicken was so heavily breaded it didn't even taste like chicken. It tasted very doughy. They also over-sauced this dish and despite the menu saying it was a spicy dish, it was way too sweet. It had no heat spice to it all, just overpowering sweetness. We had to scrape off most of the sauce to eat it. I honestly would eat at Panda Express in a heartbeat over Pei Wei and it's cheaper and better quality. This Pei Wei location was clean and the employees were friendly which was this restaurant's best attribute. The food however was awful and very low quality.

2 things - 1 - the lettuce for the lettuce wraps was old, deteriorating, and not fresh. Lettuce wraps without lettuce doesn’t work. 2 - the bourbon chicken is not a great dish. The chicken was really low quality. Lots of fat and connective tissue and it was quite overcooked to the point of being difficult to chew. Seemed like it was maybe cooked twice? The abundant sauce is overly sweet and left my dish a soggy, syrupy mess of drowned rice. Inedible. Uber eats did credit me for the lettuce. I did not ask for a refund for the bourbon chicken. I ate what I could. Disappointing quality control. Disappointing new menu item. You can do better.
