My friend & I came in here on 02/09/2024 to meet our married friends. We were hungry & wanted a couple of drinks. It didn't take long to get seated. It wasn't very busy for a Friday night, we arrived probably around 9pm or so. Our waitress, Christi started out great but then went down hill. She wasn't completely knowledgable about some of the items on the menu & had to go find out, she was nice & friendly though.
We sat @ a high top table. Chairs weren't all that comfy. I had ordered Truly to drink & Christi didn't know what flavors they had so I gave her a couple of choices that I would drink when she had to go & find out what they had. My friend got a Mango Cart beer & I tasted it and it was very tasty. I don't drink beer much these days.
I got the chicken fingers that were tasty & replaced the fries with onion rings for an extra $1.00 substitution charge. They weren't good @ all. They didn't taste homemade & just were blah. I started off with a cup of chili that was good but the best part was their cornbread patties. OMG to die for!! I had asked Christi if I could order some to go & she had to go and ask someone this. Luckily I was able to and two come in one order so I got two orders that cost me $4.00 total for 4 pieces.
We sat for a long time with our dirty plates in front of us after we were done eating. I actually put some of our dirty dishes on the clean table next to us, which I hated to do but I was sick of them being in front of me & in my way. This is were the service went down hill. Like I mentioned Christi started off great, we hadn't waited long for her to come greet us but after we got out food it was like she went home or something? And of course the longer we were here the less busy it was, so its not like there was a bunch of customers in here that she may have been waiting on a table(s) not in view of us. We had no idea what happened to her. Then when we wanted to get our bills we had to wait even longer for them.
We were a little bummed how the service started out so great but then went to poop. This won't prevent me from coming back to give this place another try especially so I can get some more cornbread....yum!!
The ladies bathroom was freezing cold when my friend & I went to use it. OMG it was like they had the AC on high blast in there and the night we were there it had been raining outside so it wasn't like it was a hot night. I did notice a pool table near us that some people were playing pool @. Not sure what other games they had up in that...
Read moreBetween this location and the American Pacific location I eat here around 2-3x per week. I walked in tonight, great atmosphere, small to medium crowd, mostly drinkers. I sit down, wait a bit, nbd. A nice girl brings me a menu and a drink list, tells me a waitress will be right over, cool. Don't need the menu, I know it by heart. One waitress comes by, takes my order (food & drink) and walks off, cool. I'm playing on my phone, another waitress walks up, asks for my drink order, I tell her the same thing as the other waitress and she walks off. She brings my soda, tells me my food will be out shortly, cool, all good so far. Drinking my soda, playing on my phone, food comes out in about 8-10min, fries a little bit cold but nbd, I'm still good. So I'm eating, texting, browsing, I'm a few bites into my sandwich and fries and my soda is empty. Nbd, I slow down my eating, push my glass to the far side of the table and keep playing on my phone. 5min goes by, 10min go by, no sign of my waitress or any waitress. Then I see my waitress, I attempt to make eye contact, she walks right through the whole bar area and goes to talk to one of her friends, another 10min go by. I look around, I see the other waitress standing at the top of the stairs staring into the abyss, try to subtly get her attention with no success. Now I'm pretty heated. I walk to the bar with my glass in hand trying to get a bartenders attention, end up following him all the way to the other side of the bar. I stand by as he take an order from a couple and as I'm about to ask for a refill he says "I'll be right with ya" and walks to the other side of the bar. I continue to stand there, I try to get the other bartenders attention, she's busy with someone else, I go sit back down. At this point my food is cold, my throat is dry, and I'm irritated as fck. So as I watch my waitress talk to her friend for another 10min over in the corner I choke down the rest of my food and I'm am pretty heated. Shortly after taking my last bite my waitress was able to tear herself away from the conversation and clear my plates and kindly asked if I'd like another soda. I asked for the check, paid, including tip (this is one time I wish I could have been an asshle and not tipped) and left. I'll never eat here or any Distilled again, which sucks because the...
Read moreVery poor experience with Cheyenne. She stated she was struggling with their new POS system, although she seriously seemed under the influence of something, very spaced out and just generally uncomfortable and awkward at the table and missed every opportunity to catch the issues that compounded for our table in a timely manner. We ordered 4 drinks, 4 entrees and an appetizer all at once upon her initial greet. 5 minutes later she brings 2 beers to the table and nothing else. 15 minutes later, 2 out of 4 entrees arrive but no appetizer and two guests are without drinks. Silverware is absent from the table. It didn’t register to her at all that two people didn’t have drinks or food when she stopped by again. we reminded her we were missing 2 ice waters, and we needed silverware , assuming the missing entrees will follow, without word from the runner or Cheyenne. 10 more minutes would transpire before she would acknowledge the missing entrees and appetizer. 5 more minutes before she stopped by to assure us, again, that they were on the way. 5 more minutes before she stopped by to blame the delays on a new POS system, and take the order for the missing items again. We are frustrated and request a manager at this point. We are told there is not a manager on duty. Another server eventually came over to take the missing food order for a third time, lol. After over an hour and twenty minutes wait for a quesadilla and chicken tenders we got our food to-go, and the delayed items were comped by someone with managerial authority who did not present themselves to our table. Distill has been alright in the past, forgotten appetizers or ones that show up after entrées, or entrees that show up with the wrong side, are actually typical here and something I pretty easily forgive but Cheyenne’s blatant lack of awareness and the sheer amount of time to correct the issue tonight was beyond frustrating and directly...
