Lakeside Event Center — Local services in Las Vegas

If you're considering having your wedding here, please strongly reconsider. I had a previous event here years ago, I loved the experience then, which is one of the strongest reasons why I booked our wedding here again. When booking, I was told the venue changed owners after that first event. It was very, very clear that it was a different owner after our wedding experience. The first thing was that it seemed like I was the one constantly reaching out even though I was told that a wedding coordinator would be reaching out to be 30 days out from out date. She didn't actually reach out until about 2 days. A couple of keys points that made the experience not so great: #1 - wedding planner seemed disorganized. At rehearsal, she did not have the songs, names, etc on the worksheet they asked us to fill out and send to them previously. Then could not find the songs even though we previously confirmed they were available on spotify as requested. So we had to change songs. Rehearsal was very rushed and I feel like as the wedding planner, they should take the initiative to explain ceremony positioning and just be more informative as this is what they do. Our rehearsal was maybe 5 minutes and consisted of just walking down the aisle. That was it. No instruction on how/where to stand, who should have rings, who should hold bride's bouquet, if and where we needed any seats reserved etc. Things that you don't think of until the actual ceremony is happening and things are going wrong. At the actual reception, the actual DJ was the one handling everything and anything and it seemed like the coordinator disappeared. #2 - vendors they recommended did not provide good service, this goes for their salon and florist. #3 - there was not enough food when less than the number of confirmed guests showed up. We had confirmed 50 guests with them. We only had about 45 guests, yet multiple guests said they did not receive any food or very little food as by the time the line reach them/their table, the food was gone. #4 - cake was not served. Not a single guest we asked (we asked about 9 and wedding party) said they did not receive any cake. We could go on with other items that we were disappointed with, but I did want to acknowledge the DJ. He is the reason why this review is 2 stars instead of just 1 or 0 if at all possible. We had the extreme pleasure of having our wedding there at Lakeside Event Center. It was a happy accident that we found this venue. My finance were in town looking for a reception hall as we had already found a venue. A quick google search and Lakeside popped up. We called and they accommodated us with a tour on short notice. We met with Wynndy, SHE WAS AMAZING!!!!!! She gave us a great tour and we were hooked! She was great resource throughout t the process, great communication and customer service. She made sure we aware of the tasting before our event and really looked out for our best interest.

Fast forward to a week before our wedding and day of. We were paired with our wedding coordinator Bobbi. Bobbi was truly the definition of a coordinator!! She answered every call and text, late night, early morning, day of, hours before and everything in between! 5 stars is not enough stars for Bobbi and her Lakeside team! The amount of stress she took off my wife during the process was astronomical and her attention to detail and customer service was TRULY ABOVE AND BEYOND!!

I just had my 30 year old daughter’s celebration of life last night here. Wendy and every single other employee was so accommodating so sweet so amazing. All night everyone told me how good the food was . The lights the table set up the drinks the sound the atmosphere was so beautiful I feel like I couldn’t say enough nice things about this place if I had all day: my heart is shattered in a million pieces but having this celebration of life here was one huge blessing….i want to thank Wendy and her entire crew for being kind and caring and making this go...
