😲 Save this post! Can you believe you can enjoy a New Year's brunch by the lakeside in the Las Vegas desert? 🎰 Las Vegas is famous for its vibrant nightlife and bustling casinos. Still, surprisingly, the city also offers serene escapes at its nearby lakes. These bodies of water starkly contrast with the usual city attractions, offering peaceful environments and ample opportunities for exploration. 🌅 What is the best lake near Las Vegas? You may have heard of Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, NV. But this isn't it. This is Lake Jacqueline, the largest of the four lakes in the Desert Shores community in Las Vegas. The beautiful Americana Restaurant is nestled by the lake, making it the perfect spot for indulgence and ambiance. 🩵 Each lake, from Lake Jacqueline to Lake Mead and beyond, has its unique charm and various outdoor activities. Whether you're looking for the tranquil lakes tucked away in Las Vegas or the recreational areas the city proudly offers, these scenic spots promise rejuvenation. #lasvegas #vegas #thingstodoinvegas #visitvegas #vegaslocal #lasvegasstrip #thingstodoinlasvegas #vegasthingstodo #lasvegasthingstodo #vegasrightnow  #lasvegasthanksgiving #thanksgivinginlasvegas #100thingstodoinlasvegas #100thingstodoinlasvegasbeforeyoudie #lasvegasauthor #lasvegasblogger #lasvegasinfluencer #lasvegasblog #vegasblog #lasvegastravelblog #lakesidelasvegas #lakelasvegas #lakesinlasvegas #americanarestaurant #lasvegaslakes #nyebrunch #newyearsbrunchinvegas #newyearsinvegas #nyelasvegas #lakejacquelinelasvegas #desertshoreslasvegas #CapCut

Amazing happy hour!! Quality large portions, with decent cocktails for their HAPPY HOUR 3pm-6pm (daily/closed Monday) is an incredible steal!!! And then they also have a WEEKLY WEEKDAY $50 for 3 courses + AYCD (all you can drink) wine?!! If you go Tuesday or Wednesday, a pianist is playing. You can stroll around the small plaza, or stroll down the street where the lakes are too! Quick happy hour date! Became a full dinner and drinks instead but for under $60! Justin, bartender, was super welcoming. He walked over to us in the bar with an enclosed patio seating area to explain their happy hour, and special activities. He shared all their Specials --- Happy Hour 4pm-6pm on Tuesday-Sunday at the Bar and Lounge Seating area. - Tues w/ $1 Oysters-$1.50 Rockefeller Oysters. - Decently Strong Drinks: $3-$4 beer, $5-$7 wine, $5 wells, $7 upgraded well cocktails. Large Portion Food: $8 Salad, Soup, $9 Calamari, $10 Shrimp Tacos (3), Linguine, $12 Burger, Chicken Breast, $21 Iron Steak Meal. Plus!! - Weekly Special Tues-Friday, $50 for 3 courses and AYCDrink red and white wine??!!! Menu changes each week. - Wed and Thursday: Pianist playing in the dining room area. - LVAC discount on non-specials in the dining room. Vibes remind us of a chill coastal town restaurant bar. People are casual and nice at the bar. Great place for a nightcap, or even coming individually/single party. What we tried this time: Happy Hour offered large portions, and decently strong drinks. We actually had interest in trying a non-HH salad and cocktail but we were too full. - $9 Sweet and Sour Calamari was wayyyy better than expected. I thought it was going to be overly powered in sweetness, or soaghu sauce. But it was a bit crispy, and fun to eat. I didn't feel like I was eating candy. The shredded lettuce soaks up the sauce a bit and balances the dish out. - $12 Prime Burger was a pretty beefy burger. Medium rare beef was hefty. For anyone looking for a low carb meal, this is great!! We were going full carb so we enjoyed it all. The SO are my cheese for me, and dressed his burger with side thousand island style of sauce. - $7 Upgraded wells cocktails like old fashioned and margaritas were incredible steal!! We were expecting dive bar quality cocktails (usually horrible, reason ppl order only two time ingredients drinks at dive bars). But it was definitely not dive bar quality. I'd say it could be today's $9 drink for someone who is picky but for most ppl, I think this could be a $12 drink. Cocktail wise, I wouldn't expect a mixologist level but it's pretty good for its pieces and as a local restaurant. I'm impressed and plan to come back to figure out what type of drinks they specialize in....it was old fashioneds, but ours was pretty decent and strong. Apparently they have 7 types of espresso martinis?! We're looking forward to trying their other specialty cocktails.

I’m writing this while waiting for my food. Honestly, this place has a lot of potential to be great, but my experience was… vague, very simple, boring, and even uncomfortable. Maybe this type of restaurant just isn’t for me, but I always try to see the good in everything, which made me wonder— is it just me? But no. I had made a reservation about two weeks ago and still had to wait an extra 20 minutes. And it wasn’t just me; I think about five other groups had the same issue. I couldn’t tell who was a walk-in and who had a reservation, but the fact that others were seated before me makes me think they had reservations as well. Once they finally took us to the table, before even sitting down, we immediately noticed that everyone was on their phones—and as you’ll understand from everything I’m about to say, there was a reason for that. When we sat down, I realized it was a fixed menu—there was no other option. That seemed interesting, and even though nothing really appealed to me, I decided to give it a try and experience something new. But everything was just so slow… I had two different waiters for some reason. I don’t know if that’s normal in these types of restaurants, but my first waiter seemed attentive, kind, and just had a good vibe. I liked him from the moment I saw him. My second waiter was pretty much the same—until he spoke. He talked in a way that made me feel like he was yelling. I’m not saying he actually did; I think that’s just how he speaks, but it still made me feel uncomfortable, rushed, and even scolded. The food came out dish by dish, and I was shocked by how tiny the portions were. No matter how beautifully plated, it was just too little. On the second round, they finally realized the drinks hadn’t arrived yet. And on top of that, after finishing that course, the next one took forever to come. I’m literally finishing this review as the supposed main dish is just now arriving. The food itself wasn’t anything outstanding to make up for all this waiting, so I just sat there thinking, I got here an hour ago, and I’ve barely eaten. I had the brilliant idea of trying this place for the first time on Valentine’s Day, and I partly blame myself for that—I regret choosing this place. But even so, this isn’t a restaurant I would recommend. I could see arguments between the waiters, things seemed a bit out of control, and there was poor management overall. The couple at the table next to us had one half of their meal served, and the other half took almost five extra minutes to arrive. When the staff finally noticed, they scrambled to find the missing dish, which took as long as I just mentioned. Honestly, this whole experience wasn’t pleasant. By the time I was writing this, I just wanted to leave.

If I could give a 10 star rating I would, Americana cheers to you because it definitely deserves it! This was my favorite place that I dined out in Vegas during my stay. What an amazing dining experience in regard to the combination of professional service and great food. The setting and ambiance was sophisticated yet relaxing with a peaceful view into a lake seeing the ducks glide onto the water. The interior was super clean, simple and inviting. Service from our server Marcin (Or as I called him "Marc Boogie" LOL) was exceptional, right down to his phenomenal attention to detail. Food was exquisite with balance of taste, colors and textures. Thank you Mr. Stephen Blandino (Owner/Chef) and your staff for an unforgettable dining experience. This will definitely be the first of future visits when I visit Vegas. Marcin you should never have given me your card with your email and cell phone. I will be staking you for that Chicken and cake again lol. I would definitely recommend this amazing professional inviting establishment to all my friends and family without a doubt.

My ratings below:

Pan Roasted Australian Seabass (5 out of 5 stars). I loved this entree and the preparation. Very well seasoned and was not over done so you still captured the freshness of the fish. It was made perfectly, crunchy on the skin and tender inside with perfect balance and the sauce it came in was spectacular !!

Duo Of Kumamato Oysters (3.5 out of 5 stars). The only thing i had that was not Flawless. It lacked flavor and you could barely taste the caviar. That being said it was still pretty good.

Macaroons (5 out of 5 stars). Marcin hooked us up with complementary Macaroons. Perfection is all I can say. It was so delicious. Definitely will get that again.

Crispy Skinned Petaluma Chicken (5 out of 5 stars). This was arguably the entree I loved the most. The flavor of the chicken was flawless, and that crispy skin gave it that extra crunch taste that made it mind blowing. I have never tasted chicken prepared this way before which was a life altering experience lol I begged Marcin to tell me the secret so I could try and make it at home. (True Story)

Foraged Mushroom Ravioli (4.5 out of 5 stars). Everything was perfect but the ravioli itself could have been cooked a tad bit longer. Other than that it was perfect.

Creamy Kale without bacon (5 out of 5 stars). well seasoned and tasted fantastic.

BOTTMLINE HURRY UP AND CHECK THIS PLACE OUT IF YOU'RE A VEGAS LOCAL OR SOMEONE VISITING LIKE MYSELF YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED...
