Our family's experience at this eye care office a year ago was deeply frustrating. While the doctor and receptionists were pleasant, the core issue was that all five pairs of prescription glasses ordered for my husband, daughter, in-laws, and myself were incorrect. My in-laws had visited on a separate occasion before us. When we tried to address the issue, we received the runaround. My husband's Oakley glasses were particularly problematic; they took eight weeks to arrive and were unusable, representing a significant waste of money. The other doctor involved in the glasses avoided my calls, and when I finally went in person, he claimed the prescription was correct and offered no solution. Neither doctor took responsibility. A second opinion from another optometrist confirmed that the prescription provided by this office was significantly inaccurate, leading to wasted time and money. Additionally, we were upsold small, overpriced Lumify eye drops for $20, which we later found much cheaper and larger at CVS. I can't help but feel that this office, being in a predominantly Hispanic area, engages in price gouging, especially for cash-paying customers." Option 2 (Emphasizing the Negative Impact): "A year ago, my family and I had a very disappointing experience at this eye care office. Despite the doctor and receptionists being friendly, the critical problem was that every single one of the five pairs of prescription glasses we ordered – for my husband, daughter, in-laws, and myself – was incorrect. My in-laws had a separate appointment beforehand. When we attempted to resolve this, we were met with evasion. My husband's Oakley glasses were the worst offender; they arrived after an eight-week wait and were completely unusable, making the substantial cost a complete loss. The other doctor involved in the glasses consistently avoided my calls. When I finally confronted him in person, he insisted the prescription was accurate and refused to offer any solutions. Neither doctor would admit fault. A subsequent visit to a different optometrist confirmed that the initial prescription was drastically off, resulting in a significant waste of both our time and money. On a separate note, we were encouraged to buy Lumify eye drops directly from them for $20, only to discover later that this 'sample size' was significantly more expensive than larger bottles available at CVS. This left us feeling as though the office, located in a Hispanic-majority area, might be engaging in price gouging, particularly towards cash-paying clients." Option 3 (Focus on Facts and Resolution Attempts): "Approximately one year ago, my family and I visited this eye care office. While the primary doctor and the receptionists were noted as friendly, a significant issue arose concerning the accuracy of our prescription glasses. All five pairs ordered for my husband, daughter, in-laws (who visited separately), and myself were found to be incorrect. Attempts to address this discrepancy with the office were met with a lack of cooperation. Specifically, my husband's Oakley glasses, which took eight weeks to receive, were unusable. Subsequent efforts to contact the doctor responsible for the glasses were unsuccessful, as calls were reportedly avoided. Upon an in-person visit, the doctor maintained that the prescription was accurate and offered no further assistance. Neither practitioner took responsibility for the error. A visit to a different optometrist confirmed that the original prescription provided by this office was substantially inaccurate. This entire experience resulted in wasted time and financial resources. Additionally, we purchased Lumify eye drops from the office for $20, which was a small quantity. We later discovered that a larger size was available at CVS for a lower price. It is our perception that this office may be overcharging, particularly for cash payments, potentially due to its location in a...
Read moreI take back my positive review. I posted this review after my eye appointment. I did not realize that obtaining my glasses would be such a hassle. When I first ordered my glasses they let me know that they would call me. So of course I waited but I waited for about 3 weeks and when I would call I would be placed on hold for 10 minutes. When I would try calling back, the staff would hang up on me. Finally, when I got through to someone and complained about being hung up on, they said "Oh yeah they're ready. I didn't let this get to me. So I came again this year for my exam. I felt rushed through my whole exam and through picking out my glasses. The sales person let me know that it would take about 2-3 weeks. I called at the 2 week mark and the staff again but me on hold for more than 10 minutes and when I tried calling they would just hang up on me. They called my cell phone and apologized saying that the lenses just need to be cut into the frames. I called again today to see if there were any updates and the staff member on the phone told me "They haven't came yet". I was upset and let the person on the phone know what I was told last week. Now they tell me that one of the machines is "down" so that's why there are delays. The least they could do is be honest. Do not come here, I completely regret leaving a good review. I also forgot to mention that called on 7/6/21 and kept getting hung up on so I just gave...
