Went there for lunch today with my wife and daughter. First and foremost the Covid spacing is appropriate for guests. We ordered 2 lbs of carnitas mixtos, a dozen tortillas, and 3 drinks (2 Jamaica and an horchata ). The 3 of us ate for $47 so the prices here are moderate for what you get. The food was good. Freshly made corn tortillas were on point. Food was good no problem with this. My 1 star rating is strictly for the service and here is my explanation. Once we were seated, our server promptly came and asked what we would like to order for drinks. When she brought us what we ordered, 2 Jamaica & 1 horchata drink, she accidentally bumped the the bottom on one of the Jamaica drinks against one of the other drinks causing a spill. The spill was significant enough to empty 25% of the tall plastic cup, and splatter over the 3 of us. My wife took the brunt of it permanently staining her light tan sweater. My daughter was wearing a gray sweater and it wasn’t as noticeable, but still stained. I was wearing a black sweater and it did not show at all. Here is the problem. Our server did not even have the decency to apologize. The manager/owner who was on duty that brought over an extra table rag to clean up also did not even offer an apology either. This was just plain rude 😡. They both acted like nothing happened. Accidents happen and we realize that she did not do this on purpose. We did choose to stay and eat without expectingany discount or “something free” and we were fine with that. What we were expecting was an apology at the very least for ruining a very nice sweater. It’s unforgivable in my opinion to play ignorant on both of their behalf’s like nothing happened at all. A simply “I’m sorry” or “we apologize” would have gone a long way. If the staff here is going to be this inconsiderate, we will no longer give them our business. It’s a shame because we liked the food.
We came for 4th of July weekend like every year from Utah, to see the fireworks, spend family time and enjoy some good authentic Mexican food that unfortunately we don’t have over there, your restaurant is a MUST when we are in Sin City for any holiday we spend here. We are familiar with the staff, the girls are very friendly, this year we saw new faces and we were excited about the food. Same quality, same incredible taste, spicy salsas! And the aguas frescas bomb. We had a gentlemen as a server this time, very friendly but kept forgetting about our request for more limes and onions and cilantro, our tortillas were cold and we kindly asked to get them warm, unfortunately another thing that caught my attention was the not so polished appearance of this gentlemen, that was disappointing and went downfall for us, we always see other servers be super neat and clean with their clothes and specially their HANDS!! They’re serving food!! When we saw that immediately doubted about the hygiene of our food, I hope next time we have a better experience and the managers of the restaurant really enforce better dress code and personal hygiene and appearance to their staff! At the end they’re the image of the restaurant to...
