Untrained, unprofessional, zero customer service! Shop elsewhere first if you can. We needed televisions for a promotion. Went online last Friday and ordered five (5) 55” Toshiba’s. Store showed the correct inventory. Online order said we could pick-up in 1 hour. We waited over two hours before we sent an employee to pick up the TV’s that were now paid for.
Per the online order form, we listed the employee’s legal first and last name and made sure he had ID. After arriving at the store, the order was still not ready. This was the first problem. Even though the TV’s are just sitting in the showroom, no one bothered to process the order. My employee waited another 30 minutes for them to get the order ready. Second problem was, they salesmen, then the manager argued that he was not authorized to pick them up. HE WAS LISTED ON THE PAPERWORK and had to point it out to them on their own order form. Even the manager was clueless. After much back and forth, they refused to release the paid for merchandise to the employee we sent that was listed on the paperwork.
I called the 1-888-BEST BUY phone number to complain. Call it yourself right now to verify these facts. It states “You should contact the store manager on duty, they are empowered to help you resolve issues at the store level.” We tried for over 1 hour to get thru to anyone at the store. There are no prompts for help and if you select zero, it just rings over and over. So, we called the complaint number again. They tried to get thru and after being on the phone with them for another 20 minutes, we gave our name and number and they promised the would reach store management and have them call us back. Of course that never happened.
So fast forward to Monday. We pull up the order, add a new employee to the form and send him to the store. We highlight his name and ensure he has ID. He get there and they only want to release one of the five televisions as we did not put his name next to each TV. I am serious!!! Even though they were all paid for at once, same ticket. After more phones calls and frustration, they finally realeased the TV’s that were paid for Friday, 3 days later.
I still have never been called and think about my online membership to other retailers that offer FREE 2 day shipping. I wish I had never dealt with this store and this incredible hassle to spend money with them. I cannot see how with this poor service they can remain in business much longer. Just like Circuit City, Best Buy will most likely go out of business sooner than later. They make everything so difficult.
I have tried to order online before, go in and expect not to wait and simply be handed my order. You will get an email saying the order is ready and then when you arrive, it’s out of stock, not pulled, open box, etc. No consideration on price adjustments for the wasted time and effort. Read moreThis review is specifically about the on duty manager and sales associates in the computer department. I attempted to return a laptop that within 30days of purchase within 30days. The sales department need to be more clear about the return policy. I was under the impression that one had 30 days to exchange or return but it is 14days. They are so concerned about upselling that often and at least in my case, fail to share their return policy. I also purchased accident replacement insurance and still got little to no attention to my issue with the idea that 14days is not enough to discover fault with a laptop. It seems that best buy is simply concerned with pushing product out the door and for major purchases try to avoid returns which within standard retail law 30 days is the standard. Secondly management at this store is non customer oriented. Even if they can not honor the customers demand management should not display unruly and disrespectful behavior. It felt like my matter was not even concered and management even threated to contact another location to male them aware of hus decision in order to ensure his ruling was upheld. This is what I call retaliation. I dislike when management appear to ve professional but quickly overlook the the need to serve tge customer and yes management can never always honor the customer but how you address the customer is as important. I will never make another purchase at bestbuy not even for a phone charger. They are product pushers and could care less about your satisfaction post 14days of purchase. Some people are full of arrogance and this store supervisior\manager on duty missed the mark. I went to another location and was not able to exchange but the associates with the geek squad were very understanding and I left with a smile. My insurance covers repairs but I have already lost faith in the performanceof my laptop. But again customer service is everything even when a customer like myself can not get what they had hoped for. Read moreTired of waiting for a call back for over 3 weeks now, so, I figured I'd leave a review and maybe that would get someone's attention. My husband and I purchased 3 appliances less than a month ago from Connor, who was a manager. The kid Emerson that was in training from the mobile dept. only said hello and didnt talk at all after that, how he is in customer service is beyond me. The first thing we said, was that we wanted everything to be smart, so I could control it from any level. He said "no problem, I can help you with that!". Help, is what he ended up not doing. Although he was very nice; he talked us into all LG products even though I wanted Samsung, but he couldn't "bundle" anything with the Samsungs. We purchased a washer, dryer and a dishwasher. Not 1, of the appliances we purchased were smart, not a single 1. They were supposed to be wifi, they're not, and to top it off, we paid for the guy's when they installed it to replace the dryer vent, they didn't. After 3 weeks, I'm growing a mound of lint outside my home and I had to clean the vent from the outside, again, this evening. There is absolutely no way, there is this much lint in less than a month. Considering I'm the only 1 that does laundry; clean the vents, etc; I know this was not done. They spent less than an hr. to install 3 appliances. I even told the gentleman that none of these were smart appliances, and he offered to put the stuff back on the truck, but that I WOULD HAVE TO BRING ALL THE OTHER APPLIANCES BACK IN THE HOUSE!! Highly unacceptable service, and I want what I paid for. Something needs to be done. I've called twice now, the first time, I sat on hold for 33 min 26 sec before I finally hung up. The 2nd time, a friendly young lady answered and said that wasn't her dept. but she would take my info. and pass it on to the manager; still I've received no phone call. I basically work off my phone and no one has called. I will not be referring my clients, family and friends to bestbuy for their appliances.
