Five Below — Local services in Laurel

8/7/25: I went back to this location because I needed to return the sunscreen that I purchased a couple days ago. I thought my son lost the first sunscreen we gave him for camp but it was the one his mother gave him that he lost. Once I realized that I still had my sunscreen, I returned the other one that I purchased from Five Below in an attempt to exchange it for "Off" or bug spray.

8/7/25: There was no "Off" left in the store but one of the staff members was able tk find the last one. When I attempted to make this exchange, I received some push back because they indicated that I could not return/exchange sunscreen. I understood where they were coming from since the sunscreen did not come with a seal when I first bought it but I reassured them on more than one occasion that I never used it. I also pulled up the receipt from my email and double checked the return policy. We went back and forth for a little but the staff members were realky respectful in their attempt to help and explain the refund policy. I shared that I did not see anything explicitly stated about any restrictions on specific items that could not be returned. Ultimately, they allowed me to make the exchange and they truly exhibited high-quality customer service to help me reconcile the situation. I commend them for putting the customer first and understanding my point of view. Because of this, I'll definitely be returning, since I've patronized this location multiple times already. I appreciate their ability to pivot in real time and to honor the facts and evidence of what was presented. I highly recommend this Five Below!!

(Initial Review): Not much to report about this Five and Below other than they had what I was looking for. In the past, I've visited to purchase hats that look like bears, specialty items, candy, and most recently, sunscreen.

What I do find interesting is that they have items that are the total antithesis of their name. At least, when I looked at the price tags of some items, it indicated that it cost more than five dollars, which would make their name essentially null and void.

It looked like the sunscreen I bought had a price label of $6 but when I rung it up, it was only $4.24. I thought to myself before purchasing, there's no way sunscreen cost more in here than at Food Lion, but it was short lived and they redeemed their name, for now.

As long as their prices remain consistent and aligns with what they're marketing, we're good to go. Otherwise, they'll need to seriously consider a name change, lol.

I've patronized this location multiple times before and will continue to do so. During my visit, the store looked clean, was well lit, and the representative was helpful. Check them out of you...

Came to this store with my daughter and my Son. We are shopping and my Autistic Son was so excited to see all the colors, he was running around so happy. Our bill at check out reflected that.

One of the Store Managers, with a fade and a ponytail on the top ( Female) told my daughter " we are not cleaning up behind him" " he can't run around the store . Mind you, I was in the checkout line and my , Son, was in eyes reach of me. I called the store while in the parking lot,Disgusted by what just happened, and asked for the GM! I was told " we don't have one". Since when?

What is going on here? I usually come here with my family and never have an issue, until today.

They need to promote the kind young lady at check out and terminate those two ignorant, racially-biased, discriminative Women who sit in the back of the store talking about people. I recorded on my phone a few things they said about me. And all five of my kids!!!

Ok today is January 30, 2018 at 2:17pm . I was treated extremely bad inside this 5 and below . Plz look on the camera for proof, I came to the register to pay . The associate (African American , big women with braids ) was soooooooooooooo rude , I spoke first while she made no eye contact with me because she was texting on her phone. She never spoke back 😡. Then she never looked at me the entire time and she threw my stuff in the bag and threw the bag on the counter because apparently I disturb her while she was on her cell phone texting . She needs to be fired . She is clearly is only there for a paycheck and she lacks customer service . I will never return and I don’t recommend this store anymore. She is really...
