Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Laurel

On August 27, 2020, I went to this Ross store for the first time and was baffled by the poor decision of one of the staff regarding social distancing.

The employee literally squeezed pass me while I was in the men section causing my cart to move and didn't even say excuse me, whic I thought was very rude. I turned around and said, "Well excuse you. What happen to social distancing". It wasn't until then she said excuse me. She squeezed passed me to go and speak with her colleague Leoni to talk and laugh for about 10 or 15 minutes for what I observed while others work. Instead, of choosing another aisle to insure social distancing. She chose to squeeze pass me totally disregarding social distancing.

Once, I approached the counter to check out. I made mention to Maria, the cashier as Leoni walked towards the register while Maria were asking who was the employee. I looked towards Leoni and said, "She knows her name because she was standing there talking with her". I asked Leoni her colleague name and she walked away totally ignoring me and disregarding my concerns, which I thought was extremely rude.

Unfortunately, Maria didn't offer any assistance. Instead, she continued with my transaction. I was baffled by the lack of assistance regarding my concerns.

At this point, I didn't feel speaking with a manager would make a difference. So, I'm thankful for the survey, which allowed me to share my less than positive experience. This was my first time at this Ross store...

I AM AN "IN-BETWEEN SIZES" SHOPPER - MY LEGS ARE LONGER THAN MY TORSO.

I purchased a SIZEL 4 with a 27" inseam and a pair of the same "CALVIN KLEIN, HIGH RISE FLARE JEANS" in a size 6 with a 28" inseam (for $24.99 EACH). BOTH ARE LABELED: "MADE IN CHINA"... I don't care where these Jeans were made... BOTH PAIRS FIT MY PETITE, 5'4" (110.6 LBS.) BODY PERFECTLY... MY ANKLES ARE COVERED AND THE HEMS ARE NOT DRAGGING ON THE GROUND! Even I have "become BORED" with "Skinny Jeans"!!

I spend nearly 2 HOURS BROWSING IN ALL "ROSS DRESS FOR LESS STORES"... I AM RETIRED & "LIVING MY BLESSED LIFE"!

The "ROSS DRESS FOR LESS" Commercials" ARE TRUE... ONE MIGHT FIND "A TREASURE" 1 DAY, GO BACK THE NEXT DAY AND, THAT TREASURE MIGHT BE GONE!

I also LOVE the Unique items I find; I sometimes shop at FOUR (4) different ROSS DRESS FOR LESS Stores (in Clinton, MD; Columbia, MD, Laurel, MD AND, in Catonsville, MD).

This past visit, (DECEMBER 2022) I even found a pair of "Black Booties" (a.k.a., Short, Black, Ankle Boots with the appropriate HEELS for a 63-year-old, SISTA (my Shoe Size is a 6 to 6-1/2, NARROW) - YES, I WAS TOO THROUGH!!

I walked in this Ross store in Laurel Maryland today and i will never go to this Ross ever again.The store was in a shambles the no smiles on any of the associate's faces. The racks were horrible i know people can just put things anywhere but this was far worst than that.I live in Upper Marlboro Md but work in the area,But i will go to Virgina to Ross to shop. And i found one item i was going to purchase got in the line it was like 10 to 13 customers 2 registers open and customer service.The cashier's looked like they were exhausted and were moving a little slow.I left my item and went to visit my friend in the nearby hospital.Presentation is everything to me if it looks junkie that turns me totally off from shopping at your store because that means i will have to dig and hunt for what i like in my size.Suggestion hire more part-time evening staff to do reshops and straightening of the racks of clothes and shoes .There was poll on one of the racks just sitting there and someone could have gotten hurt.Sorry to post this comment but it needs to be addressed.And definitely because of your location in that area.I believe the extra staff will definitely be...
