When talking about my laptop issue, the employee looked up my warranty. He stayed quite so while he was, I was explaining my issue and why I want this to be fixed since it's too early to be having this issue. He told me that this issue is something that happens with my brand of laptop at some point. I told I understand but it's still new to be having this issue. The solution he presented was shipping off my laptop to get it fixed BUT it would take two months at most to get it fixed. Obviously I decided against doing that. Two weeks later I called the manufacture of my laptop and even though they said to send it in, unlike what the geek squad employee said. It took only five days to get everything fixed and all back to new. I don't know what this geek squad employee was doing but I am assuming he was just trying to get my warranty time to run out by saying things that would deter me from the idea of getting a simple fix on my laptop.
