Michaels — Local services in Laurel

Avoid their framing department! I had submitted a matting order at this Michael's over a week ago, and they said they would call me when it was ready. I never got a call, and when I called them, the rep said that it had been ready for a few days!

When I went to pick up my order and check the matting, it was UNEVEN! Who orders uneven matting? When I asked the rep at the framing desk, she went to go get a ruler even though it was CLEARLY uneven. The rep told me to come back the next day, but as I was leaving town and this store is far from where I live, I told her that this was not possible. She said it normally takes 30 mins to do, but she would have to help other customers if anyone showed up. I asked if it was possible to get a refund since they had me pay for the matting when I placed my order. "We don't do refunds on framing". Really? Even when you mess up?

I came back in an hour, and the rep hadn't even started the matting. I was finally able to see the manager, who gave me a refund without questions. 2 trips and a lot of hassle later. Please train your framing department rep better in matting and...

YES, MICHAELS in Laurel, MD had AFRICAN-AMERICAN CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PAPER ($6.99 for 50 SQ. FT. = 30 IN. x 6.67 YDS.)!

OF COURSE, I purchased two (2) Rolls! I was SHOCKED when I saw these "ENTERTAINING" Rolls since "HOME DEPOT" AND "LOWES" STILL HASN'T ACKNOWLEDGED THAT "OUR RACE" DOES EXIST. I "HUNT", SPECIFICALLY EVERY JANUARY THROUGH MID-DECEMBER (I stop searching on the 15th of December); in MD, VA, NC & SC). LOOKING FOR "MY PEOPLE ON PRODUCTS" FOR MY FAVORITE HOLIDAYS (Easter and Christmas) IS FUN FOR ME! I AM RETIRED & LIVING MY "BLESSED LIFE"!!

..I always loose my mind in Michaels... I looked at beads cause I like to make bracelets. There are so many...there was a sale and I found some that i could see as some cool jewelry I could make...I looked at yarn cause I want to knit a project and found some really cool lightweight turquoise ombre I cant wait to see my finished project...the store is well organized and labeled so it's easy to find what you want...which is good cause there are never any sales people available on the floor to help...that's the only negative thing I have to say...checkout is usually smooth sailing, the cashiers are friendly and helpful with using the coupons and getting discounts from the app...I like...
