I have never had an issue with this place before/it literally was one of my favorite stores in the area! BUT! I just had to walk out of there a few minute ago, out of pure irritation! I bought an adidas gym bag and a workout shirt for a present on the 22nd. My cousin whom I gave it to texted me say that the security magnet was still on. For whatever reason that wasnât notice when I left the day I bought it. No problem, I still had the receipt and all I had to do was go back to the store and get them to remove it. I TRY to do so, yet somehow there was confusion. I get to the register and tell the lady my issue.... â I bought this a couple of weeks ago, as a present and the security magnet is still on. I need it removed.â She asks me if the alarm went off when I entered, I say âyes it did, thatâs why I need it removed.â Whilst showing her where the magnet is. She takes my receipt talks to a few other clerks and then comes back to me. She asks me again if the magnet went off when I came in. And I tell her yes, AGAIN. NOT ONCE was anything about a RETURN mentioned.
I see her remove the magnet. Then, I see her put it back on along with a new tag. Then, she tells me to swipe my card. I ask her, â Wait, I donât have to pay for this all over again do I? And she says, âno why would you need to do that? The money will go back on your card in a couple of days.â So I think, oh Iâm getting a full refund, which wasnât needed but fine with me. Then she puts the bag behind her and says, okay â youâre good to goâ after handing me a new receipt.
I told her that I still donât have my bag. Then she says, âyou have to do this process all over again, because thatâs why I asked you why would you need to pay again.â Again NOT ONCE was a RETURN ever mentioned. She then looks irritated as if I said something wrong and begins to start over again, and by that point I tell her just to forget about it and walked out.
I understand, that somehow there was some miscommunication or she just for whatever reason forgot what I came in there for in the first place. But what got me the most ticked off was that she was the same lady I made my original transaction with, making her the same lady who forgot to take the magnet off in the first place. Which again is a honest mistake, but after everything put together today, it just made it worse. Plus, I originally wanted to do more shopping in the store later, but that killed the whole vibe. Now, Iâm shopping for a new bag at another store.
Sorry...
Read moreThis location is mediocre at best. We werenât greeted when we arrived. The store did not have many home options. The clothing options seemed dated too. I managed to find some pampas grass, and a toy for my granddaughter. The checkout line was lengthy. Brenda W. was moving slowly, looking around, and prolonging the checkout experience for everyone. As I approached the counter she looked annoyed, and quite frankly unhappy to be working on this fine Sunday afternoon. She didnât greet me, or my family. So⌠as I placed my pampas grass on the counter-she said âIt almost hit her in the eye.âShe was referring to my pampas grass âalmostâ hitting my granddaughter in the eye. As I told her âIt didnât, and sheâs fine. Youâre the reason weâre all standing in line for so long.â She just starred at me as if I were on fire. After ringing me up she didnât tell me my total. After paying I asked for a bag. She said âI donât have any small bags.â I asked for any size so I could place my granddaughters toy, and my pampas grass inside. Well, sure enough she found a bag for my items. She never wished us well, or thanked us for shopping at Marshalls. She was a HORRIBLE example of customer service. I hope sheâs not in a managerial position with this attitude. She needs a customer service refresher stat! And should be placed in the back to avoid interaction...
Read moreI just really don't understand why this place with such great products has an unprofessional employee. Much worse, she is the same person that my wife always encounter every time that she will pay at the cashier.
This lady [she looks like from India] will greet you with warmth. Then, she will offer you to avail their credit card. My wife replied to her nicely saying "No, I am good. Thank you."
Then, her face would turn from happy to an angry face. She will continue to upsell their credit card. But, my wife, still replied on her nicely saying "No. Thank you." You can see in her face that she is frustrated. And, you can see in her gestures like she was a child having tantrums, but she was controlling it. She will let you feel her grudges by throwing your items into the paper bag. After the transaction has ended, she will say "Thank you! Have a nice day!" with that consistent angry face.
I have warned you. Just brace yourself once you see this lady at the cashier and if you refused her credit card offer, you will see her face change. It will be your worst...
