Not really family oriented. I thought we would get better fair than CEC pizza next door. This really isn’t a place we will visit in the future because we’re not from the area. I gave a 4-star because the waitress (the food and atmosphere was lower) was very pleasant and I’ve never had anyone anywhere keep the table cleaned up while we ate. Her service was top notch (5-stars) despite our language barrier (she got help from another waitress who could speak more fluent English). I think her name is Kenia based on our bill. My first impression was loud jukebox playing and a small bar off to the side. Large dining room and a couple of BIG projection of basketball game playing but, my sun really liked the music. My other son said it was too loud. I was ok to fine another location because it was getting late. They lowered the volume upon my husband’s request but someone else decided to turn it back up a few minutes later. They warned us that the DJ was going to be there in about 20-minutes. We ordered quickly. Mini kid’s tacos for kids and carne asada based on first waitress’ recommendation. Went to the restroom to wash hands and was adequately cleaned. While we waited I started to notice that many but not all waitresses show lots of skin (shoulders, back, stomach, bust, short shorts, onesies?). The food was not as good as other Mexican restaurants we’ve visited but it was cooked adequately. On a final note the DJ was in the room the whole time, eating I suppose, and got started when we walked out. I can’t help myself from believing that it was for our benefit. My husband commented that it may be similar to an American H-o-o-t-e-r’s restaurant. How did I not notice, you ask? I was greeted by and asked to see the menu from a woman with a crew neck t-shirt and jeans. Pretty casual, I thought. Anyhow, the atmosphere may have changed once we left to something a little more spicy you could say. Aye, aye, aye! Best...
Read moreFirst of All let me say that the service was TERRIBLE!! I can't picture myself ever coming back here again. The waitress in total came to our table four times. To take our drinks, take our food, take it back when we didn't like it, and to give us the check. And she wouldn't even know what belongs on the meals and what the menu was. My family was willing to put the bad service aside, but when the food came, we were so done. None of us were even pleased with what we got. Not even the baby, who is not picky about anything. Either they accidentally dropped a whole bottle of vinegar on my salad, or they went crazy with the seasoning. And is It just me, or did anyone that ate here feel the same way that I did when I say that the food had this I don't know, seasoning, that made it all taste the same. My rice and chicken had the same taste. Our beans tasted so burnt, like ashy burnt, my sister's shrimp tasted, WELL she couldn't even describe it, because it was so bad. She said it as one of those things you had to taste. And The baby, when she tasted the rice she literally gagged and threw it back up on her plate. All of our horchata tastes like dirt and was so heavy. I had to mix it several times and even then it still was horrible. My cousin couldn't finish it. I would rate it zero stars, but sadly that is not an option so one is the highest I will go. I defiantly do not recommend this place to any one, and I know that may be harsh to say,...
Read moreFirst let me say, the food was fine my chicken was a little over cooked but it was full of flavor so that wasn’t terrible. The service however was so terrible that I can’t imagine ever coming back.
We were seated quickly but nobody came to even take our drink order until over 20 minutes had passed. This wasn’t because the place was packed. In total there were about 8 tables seated and none of them were very large parties.
Our orders were finally taken and about 20 minutes later the food came out, which is fine, I’m willing to give the kitchen time to cook the food.
But when the food was brought out the food was basically tossed on the table. My girlfriend asked for a side of sour cream which took more than 5 minutes to get. So she started eating without it rather than letting the food go cold.
When we’re finished it took another 20-25 minutes before the waitress came to take our plates and give us our check. We tried several times to flag her down, but she was rarely in the dining area, and when she was she outright ignored us. We did everything short of physically stand in her way to force her to acknowledge us.
I have never experienced such terrible service. And it doesn’t make sense. Forget the rudeness of the waitress, the time we were forced to means there was less turnover of tables (though it wasn’t very busy... my guess is because of the service) that’s just bad business and cost the...
