Went in to buy a prom dress 4 days ago. I found one I really liked, and my prom is really soon, and thankfully the dress I found was in my size, so all I needed was alterations. I needed to ask my dad first, so I asked them to put the dress on hold. They said that that was okay, but they didn't tell me how long they could have it on hold for. They also took my phone number, saying they would call me in a couple of days asking if I was still planning on buying the dress. I come back today to buy the dress, and the girl laughs and tells me they sold the dress yesterday, and that they only hold a dress for a day. First off, they did not tell me how long they hold a dress for when I asked them in the first place, and second off, they said they would call me about the dress, but the girl said "oh yeah I was going to call you, but I didn't." The people that work there do not know how to provide good business. Overall, my experience there was terrible, and my prom is in less than 2 weeks. I went to this place to cut a dress that I had, and ask if they only do alterations to their own dresses or if I could bring one that I had a home to fix, and they said yes we can fix it. The dress was too long for me, so I just wanted to cut it. First, they didn't gave me a received, the girl just took my info and said that they would call me when it's ready, I called next day to ask how much money to bring and found out that "They charge me $50 to cut a dress." """That it's ridiculous""" I ask for my dress back because that was too much for a so simple work (I paid less than $25 in other places) and they told me they were working on it and refused to return my dress without alterations, and told me that they charge an extra $10 for outside dress (which I wasn't told on the beginning when I went to ask). I always buy dresses for special occasions here (including my wedding dress) but for such as a bad experience I will never go back to this place or recommended to anyone as I used to. They didn't care or try to apologize for the confusion or missing info. Really poor service...

Staff was very kind and friendly and I found the dress I needed. However my main complaint is the building itself- this business is in major need of a new location. If you're spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on a special occasion dress, the atmosphere should be reflective of that price. The building is old, small, and in disrepair. I had to browse dresses on the second floor and was incredibly hot and sweaty as there was no air conditioning in the room I was in. Once I was prepared to try on, I had to share a small dressing room with another appointment which made me very uncomfortable. I really think this business could benefit from a larger, cleaner,...
