Banter by Piercing Pagoda — Local services in Lawrence Township

I went to the Banter on the 2nd floor in the Quakerbridge Mall in Lawrenceville, NJ to have my ears repierced. The sign says ""Free Ear Piercing". I knew the process would involve my buying earrings. However, I was not focused on the price of the earrings (didn't notice). Nothing was said about the ultimate price of the piercing. I had to fill out paper work involving a lot of personal information...no assurance on how it would be protected. The earrings were small and had small stones in them. Were they gold? Were the stones gems or glass? I don't know. Then a price was quoted, much higher then I expected for a "free" piercing. By the time was provided I was too embarrassed to protest. The total price was $106.30. I went home and started to feel I had been taken advantage of. I called Banter, but my complaint was communicated through an intermediary, not directly to a manager so I don't know what was said. I could afford the $106.30 and went no further. However, I am worried that a person, say a young girl, went their expecting a free piercing, might be upset about the event. If you go to Banter please be careful about how you proceed.
