I never heard of this chain, but saw it being built and thought it would go under if all they sold were 'Shakes'... So after it opened, the place is always packed!!! so it grabbed my interest and I took the family... 4 of us. Finally a burger joint that i don't have to eat in fear. No sesame, no nuts. The burger was ok, i had a regular cheeseburger, apparently i should have had the Shroom burger, so i'll try next time. But anyway, so the burger seemed to have a flavor unlike Wendy's but it was also a big on the greasy side, probably why it tasted good. The bun was super soft. The fries were good, curly and crunchy and lots of salt but not over salted like Wendy's lately. The kids had nuggets, white milks and i had a cookies and cream shake. For a shake shack there were only a hand full of shake flavors which i was disappointed. I usually get peanut butter or cheesecake shakes when i can find them. So the total bill came to $46... and that's a bit steep for burgers. At Wendy's or even Mcd's i normally pay $22-24 for the same amount of food, minus the shake. The ambiance was nice, the music was cool, the workers were very nice, the place is clean since it's brand new. Will i go back again? Maybe alone to try the other burgers and whatever else they got. Just won't bring...
Read moreI would rate this experience a 10. I work for a restaurant group that has location in Princeton and we have some our own values. One being hugging culture, going above and beyond to make guests come back by doing things no one else would. The team here especially Danny, Dulce, and Kayla C. All were really excited to go all out with my experience. It was closing time and I was the only guest there. The kiosk wasn’t working after I put my order in, and working in restaurants I know the pain so I started to leave. Danny called out and asked what I ordered, I explained the situation and I said it was alright :) I know the feeling and I want them to close. The three of them said no it’s oke what’s your order. I protested a bit but the three actually asked me again and said I want to buy you something! The team was so nice and I was taken aback and I’ve never had service at a fast food level like this. I gave them my order and they bought it for me. After a long shift at my place it was just The most kind thing I’ve had in a long time....
Read moreBeen meaning to try out Shake Shack for awhile, and have to say I definitely wasn't disappointed. The food and service was excellent, and the building itself has an inviting modern feel, complete with self-order kiosks at the front entrance.
That said, whoever scouted out the location should be fired -- turning into the tiny entrance at highway speeds while trying not to overshoot and end up taking the rapidly oncoming exit ramp feels like I'm trying to nail the exhaust port at the end of the Death Star trench run. Sorry, my 2010 Hyundai doesn't have a targeting computer.
Beyond that, you should know that Shake Shack isn't exactly cheap. Expect to pay at least $15 per person, and that's probably on the low end. Even the fountain drinks are something like $4, which is pretty bold considering you have to fill the things yourself.
All in all, I'd highly recommend the Shake Shack for anyone into burgers, fries, and milkshakes. Just check your bank account before hand, and maybe bullseye a couple of womp rats in the old T-16 on...
