Today I wanted to publicly post a review on how much a truly genuine and dedicated educator of a skilled profession or professions impacts, improves and provides such a rewarding experience and is a key component in an overall very rewarding experience for us , the students, of which ever college or trade school we are currently receiving our education from. Mr P, one of the hvac program instructors , also the program director here at Fortis Institute in Lawrenceville, New Jersey was truly missed today at school. Today I missed Mr. P because he is always here to say exactly what needs to be said; the supportive , the constructive, the positive and the honest truth regarding the critical and concerning setbacks and barriers that are conflicting to my performance, productivity , progress and success in our schools hvac program. He is straightforward and honest in his feedback, consistantly and effectively communicating with us and always incouragageing us to ask questions about anything we don't understand. He does a all of The sudden quick quiz as a open classroom. Participation to keep us on our toes and to make sure we are listening and learning the facts.. He asks for the reason we did not or was unable to attend school for that day. He wants to know if there is something we are struggling with or finding difficult that is going to interfere and prevent us from committing to attending school on a daily basis. He wants to know what problems we have that are going to keep us from showing up every day and completing the program ahead of time so we can find the solutions and overcome any obstacles in our life preventing us from showing up to school and or showing up to school on time wearing our school uniform.. Regardless of our efforts and or lack there of Mr P is continuously consistently communicating and providing constructive feedback and possible solutions to help eliminate any restrictions or hinderences to us getting every shot at this education and learning skillset. I apologize for this interruption in my review however I would like to give a shout out to Mr P because I find him to be an honorable man through his diligence , dedication and determination to each one of us students success and us becoming certified hvac technicians. Thank you and see you tomorrow at Fortis Institute of technology in...
Read moreThe beginning of this school was really good until they lost staff in the dental department. They messed up my schedule. I had to take radiology one of the hardest classes in just 3 weeks when the mod is 6 weeks. I lost my job because of the constant schedule switching(was not able to pay bills) and when brought to their attention they seemed not to care. The higher ups speak to you as if you are a child and as if you donât know anything. Everyone is nice when your coming into the school then once ur in they donât care. They make you take surveys in regards to making a better school but donât take accountability for their mistakes. There is no communication between the staff. They claimed youâll become a licensed CDA when in reality youâre just getting an infection control and x ray license. Please, do your research before attending this school. For the amount you pay here you can put towards becoming a hygienist. When I left they seemed to be bringing in âstaffâ but they all come and go. When you explain yourself they accuse you ofâ having an attitudeâ I was hesitant about writing this survey, but this is what I went through at this school, and my voice deserves to be heard and I am speaking up for those who donât want to speak up. They have a lot of rebuilding to do before becoming successful. Good luck to all...
Read moreThis school is a total waste of time and energy... if you enjoy being treated like a child this is the place for you. Unexperienced teachers, gossiping staff and instructors, and filthy conditions is what u will find here. People dropping out the programs left and right. My first week I saw a roach crawling up the wall. The bathrooms have brown water in them. In the dental program you basically pay them to teach yourself. Instructors go out of their way to screw with your grades, gave us 50%/60% on homework assignments if you turn it in a day late.. as if all a busy adult has to do all day is 2 to 4 chapters of homework a night. They are not CODA certified so you're paying $21,000 for an x ray license... they don't tell you this when you sign up. Think two, three, four times before signing over $21,000 to this school... their bottoming is purely...
