This is what has happened within a week of getting a sew-in at Bebe Hair Braiding Salon at 139 E Crogan St Ste A in Lawrenceville GA. Last saturday my hair was braided and sewn in so tight that what was supposed to have been a small invisible part ended up being a hude bald spot by Thursday. After noticing that my hair was being pulled out, I called the salon to speak with someone about the problem and I was told I would receive call back later. Around 9:30pm I recieved a call from Bebe who of course is a stylist and the owner of the salon. After explaining to Bebe what has happened to my hair she first tells me that it is not a bald spot that is a part and that is what invisible parts are supposed to look like. I told her that what my hair now looks like is not an invisble part and i could send her the pictures to see for herself, so i sent her the pictures. After a long period of silence over the phone i asked her if she recieved the pictures and she said yes, so i asked her did she see what I was talking about. Bebe then stated the bald spot was a reult of me combing the weave wrong because when you have an invisible part you are supposed to comb the hair a certain way......?????? WT? I explained to her that I have had my hair done plenty of times enough to know what caused this and what she is saying is ridiculous. I explained to Bebe that this is something that I should not have to pay for so I just want my money back. She wanted an argument, I told her I didnt want to argue,I just want my money back and I would be sure to do a review on the horrible customer service that she has provided. She asked me why would I do a review, why would I want to hurt people.....????? Hurt people.....?Im the one hurt, do you not see my head? She told me to come back to the shop so that she could see the damage to my hair and scalp in person so, thats what I did. First of all she was sitting eating right beside the door as you walk into the shop, she didnt stand up to greet me. I told her i was there to speak to her about my hair and she still didnt stand up, she sat there and told me to bend over so that she could see my hair. I showed her and she starts talking the same things she said last night. Long story short, there was a huge argument in the shop with her group of braiders against me. In the end Bebe did not take responsiblity for anything, I did not get my money back, not even an apology from Bebe. This is just my horrible customer experience that I have went through with this "salon" and I am sharing it because if you decide to go to Bebe hair braiding salon in Lawrenceville GA, you are taking a huge risk, if anything goes wrong do not expect your money back or good customer service and dont expect for them to own up or take responsibility for anything cause you are...
Read moreTook my daughter to get a quick braiding style knowing the shop closed at 7pm on a Thursday ; I left work early picked up my child and we were at the shop by 6pm. Greeted by a braider with perm sitting in her hair and her baby in a walker the braider asked to see the style then began to beg another braider who was headed out the door for the night to stay & do my daughter's hair but she was adamant about needing to go home (which was understandable) the braider with the perm proceeded to do my daughter's hair but asked me if I would hold her baby because she was sleepy I did so thinking I could help her since she was helping me with my daughter's hair but seeing my daughter cry and about 20 mins later I walked over to see what was being done to make my child cry the braider had four cornrows finished (braids looked terrible) the braids started in the middle of my child's head then came excuses from the braider who began to explain why she didn't like doing children's hair and cornrows wasn't her specialty (which was never mentioned from the start) at this point I became frustrated a few mins later she began to explain to another braider she needs to wash the perm from her hair left my child with now 5 braids and went to wash her hair out. The service was no longer wanted after being treated so unprofessionally, I put the braiders baby back in her walker and let the other braider know that we were leaving and no longer wanted the service. I took my daughter to another shop right up the road about the same time the next day and was out of the shop 45 minutes or less (this gives you an idea how quick the style my child was getting) I've been to BeBe's only once got my hair done about 3 weeks prior to this situation and even then it was chaotic and unprofessional ; I will never be back at this shop or referring any of my coworkers , friends, or family obviously they're use to getting away with their lack of professionalism if I could give them a rating less than one star it would be...
Read moreI decided to try this shop based on the reviews and unfortunately I extremely disappointed with my service. May 11, 2018 is the date of my service. The shop owner was of the county was out the county at the time of my visit according to her sister Nicole. I spoke with the shop owners sister Nicole on Monday May 7, 2018 to schedule my appointment for 9am. Nicole did not arrive to the shop until 9:45am. Upon Nicole’s arrival I had to waited another 30 minutes for my service to start. I was very clear at the time I scheduled my appointment that I needed to be done by 3pm hence the reason for me scheduling an appointment. One of the braiders (I don’t know her name) brought her son to the shop. Her child threw multiple temper tantrums and screamed for several hours. The child walked over to me and started pounding his hand on my iPad and trying to grab my personal belongings. Along with the many temper tantrums the child threw water across the shop several times, continued to run outside causing his mother to stop my service several times, he ate the braiding hair and the plant in the shop. The child would not sit down! The child’s mother placed him on her back several times during my service. Due the child’s age (2 years old son to be 3) his feet were dangling and kicked me several times. Along with having to deal with the braider and her child I had to address her they forced she used while braiding my hair. Her peers constantly corrected the way she was braiding. After dealing with all of this Nicole (the shop owners sister) had to redo what several sections of my hair (after the braiders finished) because the braids done by the braider with the unruly child were not correctly done. The second braider on my head was Fatou, she was great! Her braiding technique is very gentle. Nicole’s braiding technique is gentle as well. Overall I’m pleased with the finished product however I’m beyond distinguished and dissatisfied with the quality of my service. I will not return...
