Billy Sims BBQ — Restaurant in Lawton

Just had my 2nd bad Billy Sims experience last night- to be clear, it was the 2nd time I've ever had their food, so a pretty awful track record.

First of all the brisket was dry, had a heavy handed chemical smoke flavor, & the turkey tasted like sodium & chemicals.

Secondly watching someone pull a wad of meat wrapped in saran wrap out from under the counter made me seriously question sanitation.

Lastly- a baked potato with butter for $7?!?!? The cost on that is about $0.27, that's absurd. I thought the $17.53 I paid for a 3 meat combo was for a 2 person platter. At a real BBQ place down in Georgia I can feed 2 adults for that price, & nothing tastes like stale chemicals.

If you like real BBQ, avoid this place at all costs.

If you think this is real BBQ, I'd like to invite you over for one of my 9 hour smoked briskets, which by the way costs me about $12 TOPS to purchase & prepare. If billy sims sold it he'd charge a hundred bucks, plus $7 for the potato I'm sure.

I have never dined in before but the prices are outrageous since COVID. They even charged for water. The first two people were nice to you. The cashier girl had the personality of a stick. I didn't leave a tip. They did nothing but put our food on a tray. I had to make two trips to get both trays to the table and juggle water, flatware and napkins. My corn was delayed by 5 minutes which was okay. They said they would bring it out to me. The cashier girl all of a sudden was standing next to me with the corn and dropped it in my hand. It was so hot it burned all of my fingers. The Cashier just turned and left after I screamed. No one checked on you while you were dining in. I had to ask for to-go boxes and was met with an attitude like I was asking for surgery. I will never go back to this place again. I am glad I didn't tip because they didn't...

I do not care for bbq. It is not my thing. It is not good to me. I do not enjoy it. I do not like it. I do not like it in a hat, I do not like it in a cat.

I do like the service here. I do like the staff.

I don't like how it used to be Gandolfo's? I don't know why that place had to close. They had this really good sammich called a Damn Yankee or a Damned Yankee, and I'm not gonna lie I just always ordered it so I could say Damn in front of my mom and not get in trouble, because it was the name of the sammich, so I had to say it, obviously.

But it was actually a good sammich, it was a cold one, with ham, I remember it had ham. I really like ham. I guess if ham can also be bbq then I do like Billy Sims in the end, because I like ham, no, I LOVE ham. Ham is so amazing.
