Went in there trying to sell a collection that I had. They didn't take the time to look through all that I had which is understandable because there was a lot there, but after identifying several valuable cards they tried telling me that one card had sold on ebay for 20-30 which was not true at all. One example was selling for 300 which they laughed at and said the card was maybe worth 50. Then offered 100 for my whole collection. I know they need to make money too but don't try to lie about stuff. I did more research then I let on and they tried to take advantage of it. But maybe I will only get like $30 from the other stores like they said. Disappointed I was expecting better based off the other reviews. They were friendly, the store was clean and nice. I just felt they were being less than honest or fair.
While I haven't tried to sell anything since my last review I have been a customer on several occasions. Fair and easy busy experience and they do not constantly check on you when shopping which I appreciate myself as sometimes I just want to look around without having to answer questions. Would suggest giving this store a try if you are shopping for sports memorabilia you probably won't regret it and maybe I just caught them on a bad day in terms of selling to them or maybe I should have organized what I was selling better. Either way I've had good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm surprised by the recent one star reviews I see here. Guessing they are related. I won't comment on the experience of another individual. Trey and Tyler run a business in a product that has seen major increases in cost over a short period. This is not the same as opening wax when we were growing up. No matter who is selling, it's just expensive, but I have never once gotten the impression that they have tried to scam anyone. We have referred every family we know there. We have been to countless birthday parties and seen a store and its owners that have built a warranted reputation as a place where parents can safely leave their kids. They know the boys by name , appreciate business, and act cordially and respectfully no matter age or sophistication level when it comes to cards. I've also seen the other side of their business where folks either steal their product or try to sell them a huge pile of cards and expect something for nothing. Quantity doesn't equal quality, and they should have a say in buying what they think they can move for whatever they want. It's a tough business. If a customer doesn't like the offer, don't transact. Simple business. But I don't believe in trashing someone because I didn't like their offer. We will keep coming back, and I would give them 6...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a great place to stop. Both times I walked in I was not greeted by staff and that was a little disappointing. Customer service is highly important and a simple "welcome" or "thanks for stopping in, can we help you locate anything" goes a long way. However, there were a few others in there so maybe they were all just focused. It is a relational business after all and the interactions with their current customers probably takes precedence. I am willing to concede it may have only been a two time issue.
That said, there is a great selection of items in the dollar boxes, wonderful choices of graded and un-graded cards along the walls and display cases, and a solid selection of sealed wax to break open. There appears to be a table to open wax in store and chairs in front of the dollar boxes for customers to relax and explore. I recommend this stop for anyone within a 90 minute drive of the location and look forward to...
