So me and my wife went to Panera for breakfast in leawood kansas, you know, to try something “wholesome,” “clean,” and “flavor-adjacent.” We walk in, and the whole place smells like warm ambition and beige. It’s got that upscale hospital waiting room vibe like someone’s about to offer me a gluten-free IV drip. We order. I get a breakfast sandwich that sounds fancy: “Avocado, Egg White & Spinach on Sprouted Grain Flatbread.” Translation: Sad omelet between two yoga mats. My wife orders something with bacon avocado bread and hope. She takes one bite, looks at me, and says, “This tastes like compromise.” I nod. We eat in silence. Two grown adults chewing softly, like we’re both thinking about what we’ve done to deserve this. The coffee? Eh. Hot. Present. Probably filtered through a mesh made of regret and recycled Whole Foods receipts. And listen we’re not mad. No hard feelings. Panera didn’t hurt us. It just… didn’t hug us either. It was like going on a blind date with someone who lists “room temperature water” as their favorite drink. Only saving grace? The oatmeal. Warm, soft, and full of fruit chunks like it was made by a kind old wizard who lives inside a Quaker Oats box. For one shining spoonful, I believed in breakfast again. It’s not bad. I am a long term loyal Panera customer, but I was extremely furious and offended this morning with my experience at your store. My whole family are Asian.
Yesterday was my son's first day at summer camp and I ordered Panera Chipotle chicken scramble egg roll and big chocolate cookie online and asked my husband to pick it on his way to drop the kid.
My son came home yesterday evening and said lunch was mac cheese and not the breakfast roll he liked. I figured my husband got the wrong order. So this morning, I asked him to order in store and tell the manager he didn't get the correct order yesterday.
This morning my son was with dad when my husband was talking to the manager and happened to say the lunch was not enough and he was hungry yesterday afternoon. The manager not only refused to admit the mistake but also clearly said we ordered cheap little lunch for my son!!! (We do pack fruits and water for the boy and the summer camp offers snacks, but guess boys are always hungry). My husband ordered pick-two and left without further arguing with the manager. I will remember to park my Mercedes GL450 in the front next time to prove that we are not cheap...
Read moreIf i could give this place zero stars I would. I work for doordash. I simply asked if my order way ready, because it said ready on Paneras status display. Jenny a Panera employee. hatefully snapped at me with attitude after Rolling her eyes and said "I told you already it's not ready, damn you don't gotta be so impatient, you ain't even a customer. after I kindly asked her where I could find my order that said ready to pick up. She then pointed to where her manager was because I ask to speak to him after her snide and rude remarks. I was simply relating to the manager what had happened and she kept spouting off spouting off being very rude to me commenting after I'm just trying to talk to the manager where he said nothing in return to me. His only response, was to her and said" just to walk away". But not before she said one last time to my sarcastically your not even a customer and I said yes I am and she said no you're not. The manager did nothing. No apology, nothing. So I returned my order to the pick up table and...
