White House Black Market — Local services in Leawood

Disappointed. I felt overlooked and unimportant while I perused the store for engagement photo outfits. There was one other customer sifting through items, while I had eight hangers in my hand and made a second trip around the store before one of the three employees greeted me. I explained to her what colors, size and fit I was looking for and found that I was heard but not listened to. She brought colors that were complete opposites of what I asked for, the wrong sizes, and made me feel ridiculous for expressing why I did not like an item for my body type. I didn’t end up getting anything even though I liked some of the pieces. When I expressed that I didn’t have any luck, the employee scoffed and I’m almost positive she rolled her eyes as she turned away. I would hate to wish a bad day upon anyone but I do hope that this was the case to explain my experience. There were plenty of options and I am always impressed with the quality of WHBM. I stopped in today to see the new collection and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. As a longtime WHBM Legend member, I was surprised not to be greeted until after two laps through the store. Even worse, one associate made completely unsolicited, snarky comments about the fit of my pants — not said with any good intention — and then argued with me after I pointed out that this is exactly how they’re supposed to fit, the same way this staple WHBM style has been for the past 10+ years. Her approach was unprofessional and left me very uncomfortable. Experiences like this are why I usually avoid this location and instead shop at Oak Park, where the service is always warm and...

Just left. Went in to return a dress that I had ordered that wasn't going to work and to find something else. Didn't get any help at all in looking for something else to wear. There was one other customer, who came in after me who was being hrlped, given suggestions...there were two other employees that i feel could have at least pretended to care if i was finding what i needed. That's one reason I love White House Black Market, the help in finding the perfect outfit. Did my tee shirt, jeans and tennis shoes turn them off? I won't come back to this store. I'll stay in...
