If I could give this experience with Altafiber 0 starts I would. This is extremely disheartening considering they are a local small business. Signed up when I first moved to Lebanon, they hid fees for over year, almost 15$ over charged PER MONTH. Meanwhile the service is AWFUL, tvs lag, takes 5 minutes for tvs to connect ( my tvs are brand new) Never sent paper or electronic bills as the customer service rep and manager confirmed was their error. Refused to issue a refund for more than 1 bill cycle which was already ridiculous. Lost almost 60$ in fees that were useless and never told to me. I would’ve been fine with a refund as mistakes happen, but they refused - very bad business.
I canceled my service and went back to Spectrum, was told to turn in the equipment and it would be canceled and not receive another bill. Turned in the equipment on the date as told to do soand recieved two additional bills while I had active service with spectrum. I look on the app the service is still active with NO MODEM OR ROUTER. RIDICULOUS. meanwhile the service was terrible and their techs had to come out multiple times to “boost” the signal, later finding out and they then wired their Altafiber connection with spectrums( not the company, not affiliated) - not allowed - and then Spectrum had to come service my home as the easy install was no longer easy, due to Altafiber stealing signals. took HOURS to undue to altafiber sneakiness and almost delayed me turning in my equipment to altafiber. Now I am dealing with an additional monthly bill when the router was not even in my possession. Beware of this company - they are hiding fees and scamming. Will...
Read moreI literally had the worst experience, you might go weeks before the Lebanon store can get someone to your house, but you’re expected to pay for the service you couldn’t use in the time you waited for one of their workers to come out. They subcontract everything so they have no idea who they are sending to your house which explains why one of the aggressive men stomped mud through my carpet at one point and didn’t even apologize- He also refused to fix the wiring after he ruined my floors. I left with a zero balance and somehow got $150 charge from a debt collector. That’s crazy because you printed me out a zero balance receipt when I dropped off your garbage I mean equipment at your local store here….. How about stop sending strangers to our house and stop giving us mediocre service and you might could keep a client? I will be emailing my zero balance receipt to the debt collector This is a terrible place to have to do business with, and they will never address things directly because they subcontract everything because they are not a real business. In my opinion they are just a group of subcontractors for Lebanon to get Internet because we must run a monopoly on everything in this town. Horrible service from...
Read moreSo disappointed. We loved having Cincinnati Bell as our Internet provider when we lived in Reading, Ohio, but the Lebanon office just was not able to give us working internet.
We had techs come out to our apartment many, many, many times, but they just could not fix the problem. Our internet would drop out for several minutes at a time throughout the day nearly every day. It really did not matter what the techs did. They replaced the fittings, changed connections on the outside of our building, replaced the modem... Sometimes the internet would get better for a few days, but it always would end up dropping out regularly again.
I think there must be some fault/flaw/short in either the fiber optic cables near where we live or in their system that is supoosed to detect issues, because the technical support people (over the phone) would often say that they did not see our internet dropping out on their records. In person they were very kind and tried to be helpful, but in the end, Cincinnati Bell just could not give us reliable internet. Really...
