The 15-minute cut-off for walk-ins is entirely understandable and reasonable, but the way it's enforced is another story. If you make it within that time frame, you're likely to hear a passive-aggressive comment from the staff about how you should have arrived earlier.
They show you the product when it's brought out, which is good, but if the cashier is trying to rush the transaction, you don't get a chance to inspect the product, correct your order, or realize a mistake. This happened to me recently, and the sale was over before I even had a chance to look at the container. Obviously absolutely no refunds on bud. Pay with card so the transaction takes longer or risk being sold the wrong product.
However, the most concerning issue is the rewards program. It feels like they've stolen thousands of dollars from their customers by deleting rewards without notice or compensation. This is not just inconvenient, but also feels like a violation of consumer trust. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when you have no other choice but to continue doing business with them, given the lack of nearby alternatives.
In regards to their Rewards Policy:
According to Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (CSPA), businesses are prohibited from engaging in unfair, deceptive, or unconscionable practices. If their rewards program was deleted in a deceptive or misleading manner, it could potentially violate the CSPA. For example:
Deceptive Advertising: If the company misrepresented the rewards program, leading customers to believe they could use accumulated rewards only for those rewards to be deleted without warning, this could fall under deceptive advertising. Unfair Business Practices: Deleting rewards without notice or compensation could be considered an unfair practice, especially if customers were led to believe they could use their points at a later time. Additionally, the program may involve an implied contract. I was told that I had monetary points saved, and that I could use them the following day after my phone number was corrected. There was no mention of any policy that would allow for deletion of those rewards. Based on Ohio's implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, businesses are expected to act fairly and not harm their customers' interests needlessly. Deleting rewards without notice could be seen as violating this expectation. It is extremely frustrating to see a business go from being trustworthy and professional to this level of disorganization and disrespect for its customers.
Edit in response to owner: Everything you just said in this comment is a blatant lie. The person at the register did not go over anything, I only realized the mistake after noticing the jar was smaller. You did delete points. I had over $600 saved up and you guys told me I could use them after I corrected my phone number. I am now changing my review to calling you guys not just disrespectful and unprofessional, but liars too. I have never left a comment on business before, that's how egregious you guys are. The audacity to claim that the person at the register went over the product when them not doing that is one of the entire reasons for this post. Your business is a sham. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC and the Ohio Board of Commerce and also the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program. I would have reported you to the BBB, but you guys are not accredited. I will never be returning here, you are thieves and liars. I will continue to report you to whatever agencies I discover that look into...
Read moreJust don’t come here, read the reviews and take them to heart. 0 stars if possible.
Take every review into account when thinking of coming here. I have been coming to ethos for quite some time and when it was AWOH they were a bit better and more consistent. Still had there issues but so does every dispensary. Since ethos bought them and changed everything they have completely gone downhill. It has nothing to do with the change of marijuana to recreational. It has nothing to do with there “sales”. How ethos is ran, maintained and managed and staff is why the place is honestly one of the worst dispensaries ever. They have outrageous prices on everything, constantly have there website marketing and showing items that arent even labeled right, and mess up peoples orders way too often. The staff is nice, but they are slower than molasses and act like they are never busy or care at all when there may be 30-50 people just standing around and waiting. They have no urgency to make their store move fluidly or coherently. Just people mashed together gambling when they will get their marijuana if they do at all. All of their reviews are robotic and useless and never address the customers complaints. Just giving the same excuses after each response or review with no real care at all towards the people they’ve screwed over. You can wait anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours while the staff is talking and chilling, taking their time between each person. Their system to scan people in and get them into the store is wildly slow, with the staff also just chatting and talking in between each person coming in making every transaction and process 10x slower then needed. If anything if wrong with your order for any reason, you are the fault and problem not Ethos. They give any and every excuse, one after the next, of why they are slow, screwed your order up, don’t have your order, etc. Whenever confronted either by a review or in the store, they give the most generic robotic excuses and responses, showing no care at all. The only reason I come here anymore is if I’m out from other places and need something within the day. (Cause assuming you’d get your order in an hour or less is a...
Read moreI found out about this dispensary from them having a 30% off sale for the Xmas sale one thing I didn’t realize that I would sit there for hours. Also it was my first time I was not talked to how a professional place should talk to their customers. I sat in line for at least 2 hours when I got back to the lobby we were told that they were over staffed and that they will at least get the people that had been waiting for at least 3-5 hours for medication. I’m very disappointed in this department and will definitely never come back or Mention it for anyone else. People on the lobby sat there for at least 3-4 hours so did I at the last minute of their closing they turned everyone away that they told would get their medication. I really do feel if you want to keep your customers you should make better decisions as a business. Remind you they closed a day prior, they were turning people away that were at least 60+ that were standing in the freezing cold just get told they can’t get their medication. Like I said they were not professional at all except for the guy at the front counter he actually tried other than him talking with everyone for 10 mins. The manager Indian guy was so unprofessional he told us that’s it was nothing he could do for us, knowing his employees told at least 30-40 people or more that they would indeed be getting medicine. My advice go to another dispensary that actually wants you happy WORST FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE EVER AT AN DISPENSARY!!!. I wish I could talk to someone that’s was higher up in management but you can’t get them to answer their phone on a regular workday lol. And btw if you were there on the 24th don’t expect this Monday to get any better they held the orders so you can get the same deal which means it’s gonna be overcrowded once again and wait times will be at least 3-6 hours. HAPPY HOLIDAYS...
