My fiancé and I went to this AT&T to open a FirstNet account and upgrade to new phones. I would have thought this process would be pretty straight forward, as they open new accounts and do upgrades all the time, but I guess not. From the beginning, it was obvious Alain was not very interested in helping us. We were there for over 4 hours trying to get our account and phones set up. Lyndsey was doing her best to help us, but it was clear she was new and needed some help, which we totally understood and didn’t fault her for at all! But over these 4 hours, Alain kept walking away from us and sitting in the back. We would ask him questions about the process and if he needed anything from us, and he never explained what the issue was or gave us clear answers. We finally left with our new account and phones, only to get home and realize that my phone wasn’t connected to our account and I couldn’t make calls or texts. We called the store to see if we could get it fixed and offered to come back in. Alain tried to work on it remotely but told us to come in the next day and he would fix it. When we went in the next day, Alain was not there and Lyndsey did not sound confident she could fix the issue. Frustrated we went to AT&T Middletown to get the problem resolved, which they were able to accomplish in 20 minutes.
Overall, I would strongly recommend against going to this AT&T location. They are not knowledgable and have very poor...
   Read moreAfter a nasty breakup with Verizon I was left without phones or Internet for my business and me personally. I was looking at a few providers when I noticed an AltaFiber store near where I stopped for food. WhenI walked in they explained that AT&T and Alliance and Alta weren’t synonymous and I was at the wrong location and Alta was a few doors down. I hadn’t considered Alliance but wanted to see their offerings anyway. And so glad I did! Shawn was awesome, listening to what I needed and what my concerns were regarding changing the number of my small business at a critical time. It was close to closing time but he stayed and made sure I had what I needed to get back to work before he left, which was after closing time. Unfortunately when I got home that night I realized that one of the phones I gave him to activate wasn’t actually one of ours, it was one my friend used as a WiFi only device. But the next when I returned with the other (correct) devices he gave me the same attention he had the previous night and worked to do all he could too correct the mistake . I’m being happy with the store and hopefully my experience with Alliance will prove to be just as rewarding, which it will be if the service I received at the store is...
   Read moreShawn was handsdown the most helpful and personable phone store employee I have ever encountered. He was so respectful of everyone who came in the door, didn't make any one feel neglected, even while he was actively helping another individual, and was knowledgeable about everything! While I was there, at least 4 other individuals came in for completely different things, he managed to help everyone in a timely manner and it was impressive watching him handle situation after situation with ease showing each individual the attention and respect he showed to everyone else who came in.
My favorite part was his ability to interact seamlessly with everyone. I ended up having to be there for a little longer than the others due to having to switch all of my data over to my new phone. He held great conversation, didn't force me to sit in awkward silence, if he had to step away to handle something else he came right back to where the conversation was as if there were no pauses.
