Don't forget to bring a quarter to get a cart! If you are unfamiliar with Aldi, the carts are free, but you put a quarter in to get one and get it back at the end.
Do not go in without a cart! Even if you think you're only getting a couple things, the cart is essential to the checkout process. Theire checkers are very fast, but only if you have a cart with you to make it work.
Their meats are all cheap and excellent, their house bran frozen items are all great. The produce is sometimes hit-and-miss, and "chips" type snacks are great but "cracker" type house-brand snacks are often sad. EXCELLENT cheese selection. They DO have grass fed beef, lamb, and sometimes duck.
They will always have good staples for a good price. For anything non-standard, you never know but it's...
Read moreI have never had any issues with Aldis, they are the best store to go to for produce. Prices are low and the produce is usually very fresh, very seldom otherwise. If you need assistance from a manager, dont bother asking for help. If it wasn't for her I would rate a four but she ruined the store for me and I hate...

I actually prefer the smaller size of the store compared to Kroger as I can find most of what I need without wandering back and forth or backtracking. There are a lot of organic and gluten free options if that's what you're looking for, and they have a rotating seasonal section that always has really good deals on home goods/furnishings. I definitely recommend bringing some reusable bags and a quarter for the carts. For comparison, I was able to get three full bags of quality groceries for $100 here, compared to one bag for the same price at Kroger. If you can forego brand loyalty, I promise that their selection is equal to or better than the name brands you're used to at the larger...
