Me and my daughter have lived in lebanon for 20 years and we frequently shop at this family dollar. We have never had an issue until today. Me and my daughter went there right when she got off work and she had to use the restroom. We have always been told we were fine to enter the back room to use the restrooms in the past and today new manager Crystal came back there and opened the door while my daughter was using the restroom I quickly grabbed the door to close it again. She stood outside the door waiting for use to get done even though there are two restrooms right next to eachother. She then proceeded to yell at us when we were coming out saying that we aren’t allowed to use the restrooms back there then accused us of stealing from her purse. We said she could search and she didn’t want to. She kept saying “can you not read?” and was pointing at the employee sign that has always been on the door. She continued to yell at us and we explained how in the past when we have asked about the restrooms they’ve always just let us use those ones. She said well I’m the new manager and that isn’t how we run things in my store. Then she said again “can you not read?” At this point me and my daughter just went to leave because the manager was irate. We were putting our cart up and another employee asked if we found anything to buy and we were explaining our experience and then Crystal came back up and continued to disrespectfully speak to us about how we can’t read and it’s her store her rules as we are leaving and then yelled out the door at us as we were walking away to our vehicle. I will never be shopping at any family dollar stores after the treatment me and my daughter received today over using a restroom. Something needs to be done about this. Maybe another lesson on customer service and how to speak to people. She could’ve just been kind about it and informed us that we couldn’t use the restrooms anymore we didn’t know we couldn’t as I’ve said we have always been allowed.Very poor...
Read moreMy wife went into the Lebanon store to shop. She is 85 years old and as we all know sometimes older people have a problem with body functions. She asked to use the restroom and the clerk informed her she could not and she had an accident trying to find a nearby restroom to use. I will not ever shop at the store again and sincerely hope that the female clerk has a similar situation many times over in her future. The world is too full of inconsiderate people and she is one of them. I urge the company change if that is their their policy, if not instruct the employee to better their customer service. I also urge others not to patronize that store. One star...
