EDIT REVIEW: immediately upon my posting this review I got a call from the Lebanon Police Department where the owner and manager called to file a false police report (which is now going to be handled legally on my end) If you don’t like bad reviews…don’t serve rotten food, and don’t treat your employees like trash. First and foremost the owner of this restaurant comes in and makes food with her BARE HANDS and allows her boyfriend (not an employee) to do the same. They serve grey rancid smelling hamburger she refuses to throw away because she doesn’t want to waste money. They keep hot dogs for DAYS and try to reuse them (that’s why they’re always grey) before they throw them away, and they had a horrible fly and gnat problem before it was discovered they had never rinsed their broom scoop clean and it was full of rotten food and maggots. If cashiers have to use the void key..even if it was just an accident item entered and no food is lost the owner makes them PAY for the void from their own pocket…even if she’s losing nothing. She talks to her employees like they’re dogs which is why 98% of the people who no longer work there talk about how horrible she is as a person. They serve bad chicken and I know of two people personally who got food poising eating that trash. And she only follows the rules when corporate comes in. If you’re ever waiting for you food it’s probably because their new manager Mr Mustard is sitting in a booth playing games on his phone or gambling on the clock, and if he thinks he’s making mistakes in the drawer he takes tip money from the other employees to toss it in the drawer to cover his mistakes.
If you want to eat Cincinnati style chili in a restaurant where you won’t get food poisoning, won’t be served rotten meat, and won’t have to listen to bickering amongst staff..drive a second and a half down the street and go to Skyline and give them your business. They’re polite, professional, and make FRESH food and you’ll leave knowing you supported a business where the management doesn’t treat their staff...
Read moreEdited to add: Gold Star reached out below and asked me to give feedback via their website, but they just offer you one free cheese coney in exchange for your feedback. I spent $30 on my meal and they want to give me a free cheese coney (of which I don't even eat). It's like a slap in the face after what happened that they want to give me something free that I didn't order and that I don't eat (even though I spent $30 and couldn't eat the food I was given).
Horrible experience at this location. We went through the drive through on Friday, 7/21/23 at 10:42 p.m. Waited for our food and once we were done at the drive through and starting to eat our food, realized that the Gorito we ordered was ICE COLD. Not warm, not lukewarm, but freezing cold. How does this even happen? By this time, it was 10:50 p.m., so as anxious we were to get home, we pulled around to a parking space and I attempted to go inside the store to ask them if they could replace it. However, they had the doors locked (even though they are open until 11 p.m. and the sign states this). The 3-4 young people working inside saw me trying to come in - the lights were on and they were standing around. I tried to get their attention to let them know something was wrong with my drive thru order and that I wasn't trying to come inside and dine in when it was 10 minutes until closing, but they just stood there and laughed at me. All I wanted was this replaced so I could have my dinner that I paid for. So I ended up throwing the Gorito in the trash outside the front doors and paying for food I never got to eat, had to then spend more money at Wendy's for my dinner and I had no way to get a refund or to have my order re-made since they decided to lock their doors. We aren't even from the Lebanon area, so not sure how I'll ever get a refund from this place. The Wilmington location is top notch - zero issues there ever and everyone is so friendly but this was an absolutely horrible experience and I won't be back. After talking with friends from that area, they've had similar...
Read moreGave my sons spoiled milk. My toddler guzzled down the whole thing and was immediately acting strange and didn't want to eat. I then tasted my other son's drink and it was definitely spoiled, and the mom at the table behind me also sipped her son's milk and it was spoiled. The manager apologized and told me multiple times that the expiration date was 9 days from now and that they just bought the milk, then offered me two warm juices for my kids. After I told them my son was obviously sick after drinking the milk. I then went up to the register and the credit card machine wasn't working and had to stand there for a while for them to plug another one in. I told the server that another customer just said the milk was spoiled and she said she "THINKS they just dumped the milk out". Manager was nice enough when I complained but seemed clueless as to the fact that the milk very well could have gone bad or have been stored improperly at some point. I called the health department to ask them to check to make sure ALL of the milk they recently purchased was thrown out as it could be bad too. Went online to see that the store had 5 critical mistakes on their health inspection report in December, one of which was not having staff trained well enough in food safety. I want to say that everyone did seem to be genuinely nice there, just not maybe knowledgeable in food safety and unable to handle the situation properly. I don't really think the manger understood that I had to go home with a sick kid that day due to...
