This 'n That Amish Outlet has gone above and beyond!
We previously purchased a chicken tractor a few years ago from the Leesburg location and really love it, but we recently added to our flock. So knowing that we had 8 new chicks that would soon crowd out our little mobile chicken tractor with our 4 grown chickens, we decided to have a larger, permanent custom coop built.
The ordering process was fairly easy. They have a catalog of various options to build your ultimate coop to your liking. However be advised that there are lots and lots of options, so it's kinda overwhelming, but pretty fun to think about all of the possibilities.
After our order was placed and sent out to production, we ran into a snag. The Amish family (a new supplier) had originally said it would be about 4-6 weeks to build. We ordered the coop a day after we got the new chicks, so we figured that the timing would be just right, since they'd be out of the brooder by the time 6 weeks had passed and would be ready to occupy the new luxury pad. Unfortunately the production team fell behind schedule, partly due to extremely high demand (COVID effect) and also underestimating production time.
We began to panic and explained that our chickens were outgrowing their brooder and smelling up our basement. Putting semi-grown chicks w/ our older chickens was not an option either due to the small space and pecking order fights.
The team was very empathetic This 'n That kept reaching out to give us honest updates and following up with the Amish family to get a realist delivery schedule. But the new delivery schedule was pushed back 2-4 weeks.
Understanding our predicament, Blake & Sarah worked with the owner to get us a temporary coop, in order to hold us over due to the delay. Blake went out of his way (and on a weekend) to personally come out and deliver the temp coop. He was respectful of our time and gave us a heads up before showing up to our house.
The fact that This 'n That cared more about customer service & satisfaction, knowing that it would be a financial loss to take a new coop and lend it out to "make things right", goes to show how much they care about their customers. Despite the production/delivery delays, the team always remained kind, honest, attentive, and professional.
I will stop this here before it becomes a novel, but the bottom line is that This 'n That Amish outlet truly came through for us and Blake gave us the care and attention that you rarely get from businesses these days. Blake and Sarah made the experience much more pleasant than it could've turned out.
Thank you to This 'n That Amish Outlet Team for everything! You've gained a customer for life.

Read moreI was in search of a cabinet to add to our entryway that would store masks, hats, gloves, wallets, glasses, etc. I originally thought of a 48 inch wide built-in cabinet, painted white with a wood stained top. I visited two kitchen and bath type merchants. The first merchant could only order the cabinet, they don't do wood tops, and the 2nd merchant was able to provide both, but in excess of $7500 for a cabinet made of maple plywood, but with a wood top. They offered that rather than order cabinets from a cabinet maker, they could build it cheaper, but they don't do the finish work so I would have to paint and stain it. Then I visited This n' That Amish outlet in Leesburg. Kate was wonderful to work with and was able to help me design and order exactly what I wanted at less than half the cost of the other two merchants. I received a SOLID MAPLE cabinet painted white with a beautiful stained top that looks like our flooring. The hardware is stunning and feels substantial. The piece looks incredible and we receive many complements on it. We could not be happier and will be ordering...
