First and last trip to Academy. Went there for some ammunition, found what I needed immediately. Went to the gun counter where there’s no other customers and two employees just standing there doing nothing. Asked to check out as I saw card readers and figured I could pay there. Nope, was told I had to go up front. No problem. I walk up front and there’s one; one singular employee with a line of at least six people. And this guy is busting tail I commend him. The phone is ringing, he’s answering his radio all while juggling these customers. I stood in line for at least 15 minutes, probably closer to 20 and the line did not move much. The employee radioed for help several times. It’s not even like the store was busy, just no one came to help him. I saw plenty of employees walking around aimlessly to the looks of it. The last straw was when finally an employee looked like she was coming to give reinforcements at the registers, saw the line (which was now probably ten people deep), and then huffed, rolled her eyes and walked away. I called before I came because I was coming from Louisville. I was looking for a size 6 toddler soccer cleat, the guy I talked to went and looked and said he had them even told me the brand which was brava. I even went online and they said they had them in stock. When I got in store I looked for awhile and finally pushed the button for help. The woman who came was rude didn't even greet me. I asked about the shoes, she said if you don't see them we don't have them, before I even finished my sentence. After I told her I talked to someone this morning she walked over glanced one time and told me they dont carry them that small. And that was it. Well after 10 more minutes looking I found a pair. She said she was the lead in footwear and know what she has. And that she was going to hunt down the person I talked to and let them know. I did not have a nice experience and probably won't be back.

My husband and I were looking for a shotgun that we could afford. Were impressed with the Yildiz line when my friend bought a 20 guage hps Legacy. They did not have the model available but we wanted to gun shop on 7/4 because we were in town. The guy at the counter was not helpful kind of rude and you could tell he did not want to be bothered with us. He pretty much was a higher end gun snob when we asked about one of the Yildiz, he said he knew nothing about the guns in an arrogant way.
