Vision thru Design — Local services in Lexington

Ethics are questionable here. I have a clear understanding of my benefits. Our contacts are 100% covered under our vision insurance as medically necessary. At our appointment I was told I had a copay under my medical insurance. I don't.Also, at my appointment I was told their biller was not in the office and when she returns, I would get a call to confirm the orders were placed. I did not. I was then told contacts would not be ordered until full payment was received. I have made multiple calls checking the status of these orders since January. Only one person has called me back as promised. Each time I call, they've told me they haven't ordered my son's contacts because they have received payment. I've been calling back and forth with them and my insurance, since my insurance approved their claims weeks ago. Today, Dr. Costa tells me "his contacts were ordered, but we didn't want to tell you that". What?? EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I also find out from my insurance that they submitted the claim incorrectly, hence the reason they haven't received payment. These are medically necessary contacts. Why have your customer in between the semantics for something that is clearly needed, and at the end you are at fault for the delay? No apology provided. I want to make note that we are not new customers; we've been coming to this location for a few years and there's been no change to our benefits. But once our orders are received we will not be returning. I am uninterested in doing business with someone who blantly lies and then has her employees...

2. EXCELLENT PRICES!!! Dr. Costa has every optical place in Lexington BEAT!!! Highest quality for the most competitive prices!!! (STOP PAYING HUGH AMOUNTS w/your expensive insurance) after YOUR insurance pays what? 50, 60%??!!! For YOUR OVERPRICED FRAMES!? LENSES!?!

3. HUGH SELECTION!!! No worries here!!! She has all brands. If you don't see it; it can be ordered. (ask Marissa for help with styles & fits! She picked out MINE!!!)

4. Insurance? Dr. Costa has the FINEST service HERE!!! If you're not sure? CALL. (Marissa usually answers!) They can usually check for you! (Marissa CAN) They DO call right back!!! (Marissa DOES) YES!!! Dr. Costa took my MEDICAID!!! (NOT A MISPRINT) She took care of my eye exam (Lexi first!!!), frames, lenses, etc. I did not have to pay anything with my Medicaid plan!!!???

5. CALL Dr. Costa's office BEFORE you call or go to your cruddy, overpriced glasses place. She is a TRUE, GENUINE, CERTIFIED OPTOMETRIST!!! She took lots of HER TIME to educate me about eye care, health, maintenance, etc!!?? (Lexi will check your eyes with their state of the art gadgets!!!)

Dr. Costa and her staff are the best! They are friendly, they genuinely care about their patients, and above all, they know what they're doing. Dr. Costa is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in her exams, and she takes the time you need to address any questions or concerns you have about your eye health. She has been more effective at treating my dry eye problems than any other doctor I've seen. She correctly diagnosed the problem and gave me several treatment options; I chose medicated eye drops. At the time, they were a reasonable price, but my insurance changed and made my eye drops over $100/month. Dr. Costa's staff were able to find resources for me that significantly reduced the price and made them affordable again. I highly recommend Vision thru Design and I can't imagine going anywhere else...
