spoke with GM-satisfied w/response I want to start with probably the only positive - the bartender Chris was wonderful. He went above & beyond his duties to help us out. Other than that, the entire evening was awful. We had 13 people attending. Most of our party arrived before 6:30 (our reserved VIP bowling time). Several employees were chatting amongst themselves & ignored my sister as she stood waiting to be helped. After several minutes they acknowledged her & said someone already had the vip lanes booked & we were not on the schedule for vip. Gave us regular lanes. Once I arrived & showed them my email confirmation I was told that the people in the room only had about 5 minutes left. Brought a manager over who was unapologetic & basically told us we had to wait until 7 now to bowl. So we all sat around waiting for 30 mins. At 7 the previous guests were still in the vip room when we went in. Food & drinks all over the tables. We had to clean up ourselves-someone came in to take away dirty dishes. Hostess (Anita H) came in to take orders then left saying something was wrong with her tablet. After about 15-20 minutes she still was not back. Looked out & saw her go to 2 or 3 other lanes before going to a computer & sitting at it for several minutes before coming back & telling us had to come out to the computer one by one to place an order. My sister went first & was out there for almost 10 minutes trying to place an order for a personal pizza. I went out to check on things & the hostess was saying the computer & tablet were different systems or something- she had both in front of her & was trying to enter it in both. I went to the bar to order. Chris got my order in quickly & even offered to bring it to me when ready. I ordered food & drinks for 5 people in the time it took my sister to place 2 orders for 2 people. Hostess had attitude most of night. Got our food fairly quickly but 3 pizzas were incorrect- One of those 3 was burnt & hard. First pizza ordered was the very last out. When Chris brought our food out everything was correct. We told him about the burnt incorrect pizza & he had it remade for us. Not asked by hostess if we needed drinks refilled-did that ourselves. Had 2 hours of bowling reserved- only given 1 hour. Had to go find an employee & let him know. He said he would fix it but didn't- started chatting with a coworker. Had to go again & request time be fixed. Asked for boxes - never received those. Explained about the burnt pizza & how we had to have it remade. Asked to have that taken off the bill. Hostess said she did but then gave the total -more than double the cost of a personal cheese pizza. Continued to say that was the price until we asked to see the receipt & saw we were being charged still for the burnt pizza. Finally got that taken off. Still no apologies. Hostess basically said that nothing was her fault & she had been fighting with the kitchen staff all night. After our time was up we stopped on our way out to let the manager (Alexis) know how awful an experience we had. She listened but was rather unapologetic. Said this was only her 2nd day & asked us to wait while she got another manager. At this point it was about 9:10pm & we had 7yr old with us who needed to get to bed. Stood around waiting for several minutes, probably 5-10, before leaving- it was clear that we were not being taken seriously & staff did not care about our experience. During our time there, we saw several, 3-6, employees sitting around chatting at any given time. This was supposed to be a fun family outing for our son who is deploying to Japan in a few days but was severely impacted by the lack of communication, service, & competence from staff. One would expect, when paying over $500 ($395 for bowling & then over $100 on food & drinks) for an outing that service would be much better than what we received. We have come to eat & play games, have booked a birthday party, & have booked the VIP room previously but after this experience we are very disappointed & will be taking our business elsewhere...
Read moreNo, just NO! The Fella in the wheelchair greeting us was the best part of our visit. Atmosphere is clean and great. Other than that go somewhere else.
10 of us showed up at Main Event to Bowl, Drink, Eat, and play video games. This was 4:30 on Wednesday 12/27/23 and the parking lot was maybe half full. We were directed to the check-in Kiosk in order to do anything. We tried to sign up for a Bowling Lane and the Kiosk was telling us that it was a 1hr 30min wait. HALF THE LANES WERE EMPTY. We were hoping the Kiosk was wrong and continued anyway. We had to enter in everyone's name, gender, and shoe size. After doing all of this it asked us to pay in advance! What?? All we wanted to do was reserve the next available lane and if we got tired of waiting go somewhere else. We exited out of the Kiosk and gave up on Bowling.
After that we decided to head over to the restaurant bar area for some eats and drinks. Big mistake! Our server Sergie was very nice but completely overwhelmed to the point of not being able to function correctly. No management in sight helping this poor man. There was maybe 5 other tables sat but he had them all and was not strong enough to do so. He was having a very difficult time with his tablet. Our food order was wrong, to much food was brought to the table, food runner was handing me all the food and couldn't tell me what it was or where it was going (she just stared at me, it was awkward), we were completely out of drinks, had to fetch our own silverware, and condiments. Finally Sergie showed up to give us the check and at that point we were able to get refills and togo boxes. We had 2 checks at the table and absolutely could not get that right and never did. We just paid whatever, worked it out amongst ourselves, and my bank account got double charged for the Check. Never saw or spoke with a manager 1. Never saw a Hostess or anyone willing to help us. Sergie informed us that a lot of the confusion is due to the fact that the kitchen folks cannot speak English. We still tipped Sergie properly because it is not this mans fault. Management needs to be reworked and trained in order to get their staff on the same page and the support they need.
I'm real surprised there are good reviews but as I look into it it appears most of them are from folks that reserved for birthday parties. Maybe that's a different department and experience. Some of our younger folks did enjoy playing the video games and cashing in their tickets on prizes. Other than that I suggest Malibu Jacks...
Read moreWe came in hoping to bowl, and eat some food. When we got here, we got our lane and asked about getting food brought to our lane, which the lady working the bowling area said she would rather us go to the restaurant because she did not want to bring the food out here (which bringing food to your lane is a service they offer). We then asked her to call over a server she said she would bring someone over to help us. We bowled for an hour and no one ever came over to help us, but three workers messed around and played with eachother while not helping us. Later we went to get food from the restaurant. We waited for a couple minutes to be seated while no one was coming to help us and the place had about 2 tables of people to serve. We had Russel (aka “peanut”) serve us. We ordered drinks and he brought one of us the wrong drink, but we didn’t think much of it. We immediately ordered our appetizers after our drinks and they took 40 minutes to just come out. We then asked for a water which was not brought out to us until after we got the to-go box for our food. After getting those, we sat for another 30+ minutes waiting to order our actual food. We ordered boneless wings with 2 different sauces on the side. We then wait for ANOTHER 20+ minutes while watching 5 or so workers standing around in the kitchen, on their phones, eating, etc, all while food is waiting to be taken to tables and no one is doing it. When we got our wings they gave us bone-in wings, with no sauces, and seasoning on them, completely not what we ordered. As he brought them out I just asked for a to-go box and the check because we were ready to leave at that point. After 5-10 minutes he only brought out a to-go box and no check. We asked for the sauces and check we needed. When it was time to pay, the card reader would not work when my boyfriend tried to pay 3 times. So we then asked “peanut” to help us and he went back to the tip menu and tried to sneak in putting a $8 tip when we didn’t want to tip at all, luckily the card reader didn’t work again so he had to get a new one. Which again, when he brought it out he forced us to tip 20% once again which was 20% more than we wanted to. We didn’t want to stay there for any longer by fighting it so we just paid the tip. Bad experience, will not be...
