In the last few weeks I have replaced and upgraded my TV/video and audio system using Barney Miller's services and expertise. Initially, trying to find retail stores capable of helping evaluate and discern items/systems that would match my requirements was disappointing. Most had items on shelves to look at but not hear, or lines of TV's all showing the same non-broadcast images (piped and enhanced(?). All this amidst shuffling shoppers there to buy washing machines/refrigerators etc., accompanied by salesmen pushing one-time-offers the sole purpose, perhaps, to enhance their commission or sales record! By contrast I stepped into Barney Miller's, a haven of calm, polite and sincere concern as to how best to advise and guide. The first questions regarding tv watching and audio listening preferences along with room size, shape and furnishings, provided the foundation for their recommendations. Private demonstration was made available in rooms similar to a domestic situation. At no time was there any sales "push" or pressure, only guidance with alternatives presented for consideration. The ability to hear favorite CD tracks on different audio combination was a definite plus. The chosen system component were delivered and installed on the date promised. The technicians were friendly, polite, careful, proficient and trust-worthy, continuing the outstanding, service and help and advice that originated from the first moment I entered the Barney Miller's. Read moreI’ve used several entertainment system specialists in Lexington and they all struggled to make my system stressless. We have several zones and I was about to give up on tvs and speakers turning on when demanded and in them working in concert. There was always a small sound delay between zones. Then I found Donny, Chris and team at Barney Millers. Donny did an assessment of my hardware and software, including my Control 4 system which never worked correctly. He made the necessary hardware and software adjustments and we now watch tv and listen to music stress-free! We added outdoor space for which Donny designed the low voltage, including Internet, tv and sound system. He created a beautiful system over a rather large outdoor space that literally wraps the area in sound. Guests are blown away by it. Oh, and it turns on when I hit the “on” button!! Read moreI have been a customer of Barney Miller's for years and there is one main reason for this. Consistent service after the sale. With a home full of electronic devices should the need arise, I receive the same technicians that installed the work to fix any issues. If it's a software upgrade it can be done remotely and I'm up and running without a service call visit. When one has this type of loyalty with a company you can expect this type of service.
In summary, things break, don't always work or instructions are confusing to set-up a new device. You get what you pay for. Service after the sale ...service after the sale ... service after the sale, is one reason I've been a loyal customer with Barney...
