I bought a golden retriever here before . Although it is expensive, he is cute, healthy and worth it. The whole service process is also very good. We can go in and touch the puppy. So when my friend was interested in fish, we chose to come back here again, because there are a variety of fishes here. According to past experience, I thought it would be a good buying experience, to be able to choose her favorite fish and preferential equipment, such as a fish tank. But In fact, itâs the opposite, it was a terrible experience.
When we got there there were a few customers already there at the aquatic area so we waited patiently for an employee to come help us. We saw the employee help the people in front of us and they saw us standing there waiting but proceeded to ignore us. We did not mind waiting but we got a bit annoyed when all the other customers in front of us left and it was just me and my friend left waiting but the employees proceeded to ignore us. We felt like they were ignoring us on purpose. When we tried to look for them to help us they said they would come but never came. We got impatient and looked for someone else and they finally helped us. When we got done choosing our fish, an employee came and asked if we needed to buy other things for the fish we bought like tank, food, filter, and more. We let the employee bring us around the store to show us what we needed to buy for the fishes. We were not expecting the employee to just walk around the store and get random things for the fishes without even asking us if we wanted to buy those things or even explaining in depth what each thing was for. We were so confused and did not know what to say because these actions caught us off guard. When we reached the cashier to check out we told the person we were not too sure about buying these things as we donât know what they are for and if there are better prices available. We asked if they could take it off for us but the lady got an attitude and refused to. She insisted we needed to buy them for the fish which we understood but wanted to look elsewhere for a better price because to be honest the things at that store were overpriced. The lady gave us a hard time by saying âwhy would you need to go somewhere else? You need these things.â She also gave us a ugly face expression and it really made us feel like we were being discriminated against because she did not treat anyone else this way. In the end we couldnât argue with her and just settled with buying those things. We left the store super annoyed and in a bad mood. We decided to never go back there again.
We did not get a good service experience, and felt discrimination and compulsory consumption. But I don't think this is a problem with the store, because the pet category is very complete. The employee's bad attitude is the reason for this worst service experience. I hope to strengthen service training for employees and recruit responsible and reliable people. To ensure that this will not happen...
Read moreHORRIBLE. My purpose of this post is to inform people of what kind of store Most Valuable Pets is. My husband and I just purchased a âcockapooâ named Honey from Most Valuable Pets in Lexington, KY in the beginning of July. When picking her up and looking over her paperwork we noticed they had given her the Bordetella shot the day before. We questioned the associate about the vaccination because we knew that wasnât normal for their store. You see, this isnât our first dog from this store. Two years ago we got a shichon from Most Valuable Pets and none of those puppies had received the Bordetella vaccination because âMost Valuable Pets didnât give that shotâ. So why now? Overjoyed with our new puppy we put our worries to rest about the shot and took Honey home. It didnât take long to see how sick Honey actually was. Sheâd cough so bad it would make her physically sick, she didnât even want to move. Having been around many puppies I knew this wasnât normal 24/7 behavior and it just got worse as the days past. Our vet saw us three days after getting Honey, he confirmed that she did have kennel cough and gave us antibiotics. Livid, I call Most Valuable Pets, who werenât surprised and told me to come in and theyâd pay for the medicine. More than likely, Most Valuable Pets knew those puppies had kennel cough hence them giving the shot the day before we purchased her. THANK YOU for selling us a sick puppy and not mentioning anything. Thank goodness our other dog is properly vaccinated or he could have gotten kennel cough as well. If you purchased a puppy from them in the month of July 2019, your puppy probably has kennel cough. To review the top paragraph, yes they sold us a sick puppy. Moving past that, I noticed that our âcockapooâ had the same breeder as our shichon. Thinking this was very odd I call the breeder. He could barely answer simple questions such as âhow many pounds were the parents?â He also informed us that he bred a cocker spaniel and a cockapoo to make Honey. Everyone knows a standard cockapoo is made by a poodle and cocker spaniel. Just like a standard golden doodle is a poodle and golden retriever. A Most Valuable Pets associate told us before purchase that Honey was a âpoodle and cocker spaniel.â Most Valuable pets should be upfront in telling what the puppy is actually mixed with. They have no problem posting all over social media their puppies, but Iâd be extra careful as a customer because who knows what they are actually mixed with. Itâs a shame because as of two months ago I was a fan of this store. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After the above situations and the impoliteness of management staff I canât believe a store like this is in business. Future customers of this business: Be cautious, ask lots of questions, and call the actual breeder before purchasing. Current customers and fans of Most Valuable Pets Iâm glad they havenât lost...
Read moreToday was the first and LAST time that I will ever visit this place. Upon entering the store, nobody greeted me whatsoever. After 10 minutes of looking around, then someone finally came up to me and asked was I finding everything okay. I work in retail at a major department store at Fayette mall. I know greeting customers is our number one objective! THEN when I was ready to check out I waited over 5 minutes at the counter. A man that worked there walked right past me to the ferret cage and didnât acknowledge me. I honestly was about to walk out at this point because their customer service skills are very poor. After looking around and at him several times with a âAre you serious right nowâ face. . .He finally walked away from the ferret cage and then acknowledged me and told me someone would be right over to check me up. Obviously I shouldâve just walked out because I received too many warning signs from the place. Anyways, a clerk named Mati came to check me out. Evidently she doesnât know the differences between a COW ear and a PIG ear. Also, she doesnât know what items they have listed on sale in their store. Upon purchasing I stated the dog cookies were on sale, and then asked her was the miniature dog cookies on sale as well and she replied yes. (There was a sign on the basket that said the dog cookies were $2.00 instead of the regular price of $2.99) Somehow she managed to charge me regular price for the dog cookies and charged me for 2 PIG ears, instead of 2 COW ears. Once I got home and looked at my receipt, I noticed I had been charged more than what I was suppose to be charge. Mind you, the only reason I stopped in the store was because I had an appointment earlier that day and was out there already. So I called to let them know they messed up and overcharged me. Iâm not sure who I spoke with but it was the older short lady , because when I arrived she told another employee I had just called. Anyways, I live all the way across town and Iâm never in the Beaumont area unless I have an appointment. I told them this and asked would there be an accommodation since I have to drive all the way back out there and waste my gas because of their mistake, and I was told no. They offered to adjust the price though, but that didnât save my time, energy, or gas from having to make 2 trips out there. Therefor I decided to return EVERYTHING and go to Petsmart, where Iâm valued and treated like a WANTED customer. NEVER will I EVER waste my time and energy stepping foot back in...
