I recently had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Lance S. Ferguson, MD at Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, KY, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, fast, and—most impressively—completely painless.
Dr. Ferguson and his team were incredibly professional and reassuring, making me feel at ease every step of the way. The procedure itself was over before I knew it, and I was amazed at how comfortable it was. No discomfort, no stress—just expert care and precision.
The real magic happened immediately after surgery. With the new trifocal lens, my vision improved instantly. Colors looked brighter, details sharper, and I could see both near and far without needing glasses. It felt like someone had turned the lights on in my world.
If you’re considering cataract surgery and want a skilled, compassionate surgeon who delivers outstanding results, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ferguson and Commonwealth Eye Surgery. They gave me back the gift of clear sight—and I couldn’t be more...
Read moreWhat a great experience for my cataract surgery! As soon as I entered the waiting room for the first consultation appointment to follow up post op procedure, all staff I encountered was friendly, smiling and efficient. Front desk staff friendly and helpful along with staff that conducted my eye exams and Dr Finley pre op/ post op. Dr Ferguson was excellent! My care seemed personalized and not rushed with the focus of my best interest at heart. Pre procedure and post op instructions were very well written and explained in detail. I received daily texts leading up to procedure so if I had questions, I could call. Because of their professional and caring work, I felt confident in my care which decreased my anxiety. As a patient, if I felt comfortable then everyone can do their jobs more efficiently and effectively. That’s a win/win for everyone! I highly recommend...
Read moreThe experience was all very good (everyone was reassuring and helpful) with the exception of the wait times. First in the 2nd floor waiting area and again in the 3rd floor surgical waiting area. My husband and I checked in and waited over an hour before being sent to the surgical waiting area. Then waited another very long time. The procedure prep, procedure and recovery were efficient. The long waits just made both of us very anxious. Is there a way to have patients and their drivers have shorter wait times? My follow up appointment was great. We arrived early and I was finished and leaving the building at the actual appointment time. Maybe due to being scheduled...
