The office staff is friendly but wait times are lengthy. The doctor I saw wasn’t the one doing the surgery. On 2 of 3 visits, only one doctor was in the office and the waiting room was pretty full. If they continue to schedule so many appts at the same time, they need to address the lack of staff on duty. The triage nurse was wonderful and the nurses on the surgery floor are really good and put you at ease. I would have preferred to meet the doctor who actually performed the procedure before the surgery. I commented on that the 2nd day when I went back for the other eye. The nurse said I met him, I just didn’t remember. They pumped me full of anesthesia, so obviously I wouldn’t remember. It would be nice if he took a minute or two to talk to his patients before anesthesia is administered. It’s only been a day and I don’t see a lot of difference in my vision but I am amazed at how vivid colors appear since...

They talked "around" me instead of to me, even after I told them that I was awake. I felt like a number on an assembly line. Personally, I am in leadership/customer service at a major hospital. I would NEVER allow my employees to treat a pt in this manner. LOYALTY is a huge thing to me when it comes to wear I spend my money and you have done nothing to earn my loyalty. The only person in your office who were excited about my surgery were Dr Patel and...
Read moreI was literally the most myopic patient Dr. Wortz had ever operated on, so the stakes were pretty high. Numerous other eye doctors (ophthalmologists and optometrists) said that I should have either Gary Wortz, MD or Michael Snyder, MD (Cincinnati Eye) operate on me. I chose Dr. Wortz as I live in Lexington. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I could see better a few hours after surgery than I’ve seen in all my 59 years of life. I don’t use the word, “miracle,” very often, but that’s what it...
