Only 1 star b/c of SERVICE 🫶🏻 Peyton B Where do I start with PLK?
Yes, it’s a pickleball court—and if that’s all you’re going for, then by all means, go for it. The courts are truly great, and currently free as part of their marketing, which is a solid win for players.
Now, onto the food. As a restaurant manager myself, I was disappointed almost immediately. We were charged $0.49 for extra mustard and $1.00 for a side of ranch—and then didn’t even receive them with our order. We had to ask again. See picture for the small soufflé cup
When our food finally arrived (about 15 minutes later), the quality was… not it. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, which turned out to be the most Americanized version imaginable. The ham was cold, straight from a deli pack, and the “extra mustard” was either nonexistent or the tiniest smear of what might’ve been store-brand yellow mustard. Honestly, the whole plate felt like something you’d throw together at home on a lazy day, not something you’d expect to pay restaurant prices for.
That said, the highlight of our visit was our server, Peyton. Hands down one of the best servers we’ve ever had. Kind, attentive, and somehow still upbeat while walking up and down two flights of stairs to bring out subpar bar food. She deserves way better.
In short: stick to the courts and skip the kitchen. PLK should probably stick to pickleball. And maybe think of what “Pickleball Player” may want. A spike $10 smoothie instead of an over priced average pixie stick I recieved with NO GARNISH. That’s when I know it’s cheaply made.

Read morePKL LEX is hands-down one of the best additions to Lexington's social and sports scene. The pickleball courts are pristine-clean, well-maintained, and perfect for players of all skill levels. The energy is always upbeat, and the community vibe makes it easy to jump into a game or cheer on friends. The Golf Simulators are next-level. Whether you're a serious golfer looking to sharpen your swing or just in it for some fun with friends, it's like having a full golf course experience indoors rain or shine. And then the food and drink--Country Boy Brewing absolutely nails it. Their craft beers are the perfect post-game refreshment, and the food is way beyond the typical bar fare. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. The staff is friendly, attentive and clearly dedicated to making sure you have a top-notch visit. My wife and I will...
Read moreThe pickleball courts are nice, but the service was truly disappointing. My boyfriend and I visited recently,I had my ID, and he had a photo of his ID and passport, plus his credit card for additional verification. Despite that, staff refused to serve him and eventually kicked him out. What made it worse was how rude and dismissive the bartenders and managers were throughout the situation. We’ve spent quite a bit here on both drinks and court time in the past, but after this experience, we won’t be coming back. It’s unfortunate, because this could be a great spot if the staff treated customers with basic respect. Several of our friends who’ve come here before also said they’ll stop going after hearing what happened. Best of luck to PKL, but unless they seriously improve their customer service, they’ll keep losing loyal...
