Ruth Hunt Candy — Local services in Lexington

I always enjoy going in the store for the candy and the post office. Today was an exception. The time was around 12:30 . The lady working was upset I guess because she was having to pack a persons package to mail. You would think she would have had that done before coming to the post office. I asked employee if she had Christmas stamps while she was trying to pack this customer package. I didn't see any so I didn't want to wait if they were out. She said yes but we are out of all but the coffee and the flowers in the snow. I asked her which ones they were because nothing looked like Christmas. They were hanging on a board. She stepped over and banged as hard as she could on the board at the ones that were Christmas. I don't need that kind of behavior from an employee. We don't need that kind of customer service. When I come in again and she doesn't show good customer service you will be loosing a customer plus I will let the ones in charge know about this lady. I was...

Small business owners do not bring your packages here. I brought mine to be collected by the usps mail carrier as this is a government contracted usps mail station. All of my packages were pre stamped and labeled and ready to ship.

However due to the number of packages I had, around 20, the employee informed me she would have to key in all of the packages, and it would be easier for me if I were to take them to the Post Office instead. I fail to see how it would be easier for me to get back on the road and drop them off at a different location however, this is what I ended up doing due to their unwillingnessto help me. I worked hard to get my packages out before collection time at 5pm, which I then missed due to this interaction.

I went in to mail a package (there IS a post office center inside with priority mail envelopes, shipping supplies, stamps, etc.); I left with a candle and homemade lollipops as well as some strawberries and cream chupa chup lollipops that I haven't had since grade school. staff were super nice and helpful and I can't wait to go back to buy some holiday presents, because there's so much more than just candy there, and I love supporting small local businesses. 💚 update: just as delicious, and staff as helpful and kind as always. got some amazing vegan...
