Brought in my great grandfather’s 70 year old leather camera case to be restored. When I brought it in the back was pretty much disconnected because the thread was so old it broke. He was able to sew it back together again. He did such a perfect job sewing it. I was very impressed! Also, he cleaned the entire thing, even getting some old paint off of the front. It is special to have an old fashion cobble here in Lexington. Most people today just buy cheap shoes and throw them away when the bottom wears out, then they buy another cheap pair of shoes and the cycle repeats itself. Since my formal dress shoes cost over $300 a pair and they are extremely comfortable, I don’t want break in new ones.
